‘A Win for the USA!’ Benjamin Netanyahu calls unprecedented victory ‘biggest win of my life’

Declaring Monday’s election “the biggest win of my life,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party live to fight another day.

Voters in Israel went to the polls for an unprecedented third election in less than a year and with final numbers expected Tuesday, Netanyahu is closing in on securing the needed seats to form the next government, according to exit polls.

“This was a great victory for the right-wing camp, and first and foremost a victory for us Likudnikim,” Netanyahu said in his victory speech.

The tweet below translates to: “A huge victory for Israel.”

Netanyahu’s coalition was reportedly one seat shy of holding a majority in the Knesset as he prevailed over challenger Benny Gantz and his Blue and White party, but Likud was getting close to a 61-seat-bloc government, the Jersusalem Post reported.

President Trump’s pollster John McLaughlin was employed to help Netanyahu in the September election, as the more liberal Gantz used former Obama political strategist Joel Benenson, according to the Post.

Telling supporters “we plowed the country from north to south,” Netanyahu said that “Israeli citizens trust us because they know that we have brought the best decade in Israeli history.”

The prime minister compared the “huge victory” to his first historic win in 1996.

“But this time is even sweeter because it is a victory against all odds,” said the man affectionately known as Bibi. “Our rivals said the Netanyahu era is over, but together we turned it around, we made lemonade out of lemons.”

Netanyahu talked about bringing peace with moderate Arab countries in his speech.

“I talked about what I want to achieve in the coming years – applying sovereignty in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley, an historic defense alliance with the US, establishing peace relations with leading Arab states, leading huge industry and economic reforms – we will do all that,” he said, according to Israel National News.

“We fostered relationships that we did not have with world leaders. It also includes many more leaders that you can imagine in the Arab and Muslim world. When I say we will reach peace agreements with other Arab states, I am not just saying that. We have seen all the tribes of Israel go back to the Likud – our brothers and sisters who are members of the Ethiopian community, and our brothers from the Commonwealth of Independent States. We are not satisfied with what we brought, throughout the campaign I talked about what we intend to achieve in the years to come,” Netanyahu continued.

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski responded to the big win by saying he was “honored” to be part of the effort and to say it was “a win for the USA!”

“Don’t look now but Netanyahu just pulled off one of the greatest political magic acts of all time,” tweeted conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro.

As noted by investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson, despite all the media reports on  how much Netanyahu is supposedly hated in Israel, “he just keeps winning.”
