Should President Donald Trump ever look to moonlight from his day job, he’s almost certain to have a successful second career as a stand-up comedian.
Speaking Saturday at CPAC 2020, the president was in full campaign mode as he took on last week’s dumpster fire known as the Democratic primary debate. The long list of low-lights included the performance of billionaire Michael Bloomberg, who found himself the frequent target of Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
“They got some beauties – Crazy Bernie, Sleepy Joe. We got Mini-Mike, but I think he’s out of it,” President Trump said. “Mini-Mike, I know him well. I knew that was going to happen, that was probably the worst debate performance in the history of presidential debates.”
Saying that Bloomberg will “keep spending the money” — the former mayor of New York City has reportedly spent over $500 million on advertising — the president said that “it just shows you that you can’t buy an election.”
“Boy did Pocahontas destroy him,” Trump said, using his nickname for Warren. “And look what I did to her!”
Saying that she “choked,” he explained how Warren went and got a DNA test, which would prove to be a disastrous move on her part.
“She went out and got a test,” Trump added. “Remember when I said I have more Indian blood in me than she does, and I have none — would love to have some, but I have none.”
He then quipped that when called on to apologize to Warren, he apologized to the real Pocahontas — the crowd was eating out of his hands.
Trump then turned his attentions back to Bloomberg.
“He didn’t know what hit him,” he said of Bloomberg’s reaction to Warren’s attacks. “He’s going, ‘Oh get me off of this stage.’”
Squatting down behind the podium to mock Bloomberg’s diminutive 5-foot-8 height, Trump repeated, “Get me off! Get me off of this stage!”
The mocking imitation left the CPAC audience in stitches, as they gave the president a prolonged standing ovation before chanting, “Four more years! Four more years!”
“We hit a nerve there, huh?” Trump finally said after the crowd settled down.
And while you had the expected response from the president’s detractors, who were whining about this being “beneath his office,” Trump hit a nerve online as well.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter commenting on the comedic genius that Trump proves to be:
Trump just REKT Bloomberg by slowly shrinking to his height until he disappeared behind the podium.

Great point. He’ll often deliver a line at a moderate volume. Then repeat part or all of it in a loud, animated tone. Up and down we go, with a laugh and some facial expressions, some sarcasm thrown in. It’s a fun ride.

The man was on FIRE today!
It really is a shame he can’t run for a third term.
Maybe FOX will hire him as a contributor for the next presidential election. ?— PrimeSpectator (@SpectatorPrime) February 29, 2020
