And the liberal media is always so quick to label Republican voters as bigots…
A video of an Iowa voter caucusing with the Democratic Party freaking out when she learns that former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg is gay says a lot about how poorly informed many voters are nowadays.
After all, Buttigieg is very open about being gay, speaking about it often. His husband often accompanies him on the stump. In fact, you could go so far as to say that being gay is the candidate’s calling card.

“Are you saying he has the same-sex partner? Pete?” said the woman, presumably a Democratic voter, according to caucus rules.
To her credit, the Buttigieg precinct captain is the epitome of class, patiently telling the voter that the candidate is indeed gay and married.

“Are you kidding,” the voter replied. “Then I don’t want anybody like that in the White House. Can I have my card back?”
The precinct captain, identified as Nikki van den Heever, said she would have to go ask, since the woman already signed her card.
“The whole point of it is, though, he’s a human being, right? Just like you and me, and it shouldn’t really matter,” she then patiently explained.
“Well he better read the Bible,” the woman responded.
“He does, and he says that God doesn’t choose a political party,” van den Heever said, before being interrupted.
“Why does it say in the Bible that a man should marry a woman then?” the voter asked.
“Well I totally respect your viewpoint on this, I so totally do, but I think that we were not around when the Bible was written,” van den Heever told her.
The woman exposed just how uninformed she is by asking why Buttigieg being gay “has never been brought out before?”
It makes you wonder if she has been hiding under a rock, though a social media user pointed out the obvious:
These are all Democrats. Keep that in mind. There aren’t any Republicans in this video.

Working hard to hold onto the vote, van den Heever continued her effort to convince the woman that if you believe what a candidate stands for, why does it matter what their sexual preference is?
Her pitch wasn’t having the desired result, as the woman replied, “It all just went right down the toilet is where it all just went?”
There was plenty of praise for van den Heever, to include kind words from Jennifer Rubin, the alleged conservative columnist for the Washington Post.
This woman is a star. A role model.

WOW.
That captain dug DEEP and should be so proud of herself.— Shandy (@Shandy556) February 4, 2020
That was absolutely wonderful. Way to be polite, understanding, not forceful or manipulative, represent the campaign beautifully…so many more. I don’t know how it all got resolved, but you stayed strong and kind the whole time. That’s worth so much ❤️

There was even an attempt to label the woman a “Bible-thumping right wing plant.”
This woman is so obviously a bible-thumping right-wing plant trying to make the left look bad. I totally see thru this.

Oh COME ON!!!! This HAS to be a plant.

On the other hand, if the woman was a GOP voter, can you just imagine the media reaction?
ask yourself this question.. what would this look like if the homophobic woman was a republican.. pic.twitter.com/GumfvZf83P
