Biden gets attention for kissing 19-yr-old granddaughter on lips at Iowa event

At some point, it’s hard not to think former Vice President Joe Biden is intentionally being defiant in the face of continued claims of inappropriate behavior.

With a rich history of not being able to keep his hands to himself and engaging in awkward public displays of intimacy with unwilling recipients, the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate seems oblivious to criticism that has led to some calling him “Creepy Uncle Joe.”

So much so that he will publicly kiss his 19-year-old granddaughter on the mouth.

Biden arrived at a campaign event in Iowa on Sunday with Finnegan Biden, the daughter of his son Hunter Biden — who is at the center of the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, though the media would have you believe otherwise.

Biden and his granddaughter were seen tightly clutching hands as he spoke to those at the Dubuque event, and the 77-year-old gave his teen granddaughter a smooch on the lips, the Daily Mail reported.

The British newspaper noted that Biden was also seen kissing a baby’s hands as he interacted with the child.

He was also seen greeting an older female attendee by placing a hand on each of her shoulders and intimately resting his forehead on hers.

Turns out, Biden has been seen kissing his granddaughter on the lips before.

The candidate was giving a speech in the Nevada State Democratic Party event in Las Vegas in July 2019, and he introduced Finnegan as a state campaign staffer.

Biden kissed her on the lips, telling the room, “I just wanted you to meet the life of my love, the love of my life, Finnegan Biden here.”

He has used the same line to describe his daughter, Ashley Biden, who was in the news recently when the Washington Examiner reported the nonprofit organization she worked at, the Delaware Center for Justice, received a $166,000 federal grant about the same time she was appointed executive director.

Ironically, it was in Nevada that former state assemblywoman Lucy Flores accused Biden of inappropriate behavior when he campaigned for her in 2014, saying he came up from behind and lean in to smell her hair.

“He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head,” Flores wrote in an editorial published by The Cut. “My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused.”

Finnegan also accompanied Biden when he addressed the Rainbow PUSH Coalition Convention in Chicago in June 2019.

Biden introduced her and went on to tell the room about how wonderful daughters and granddaughters are, before he offered a rather bizarre analogy about raising girls.

“When your daughter’s about 12 and half years old you put this little butterfly in bed and you kiss it goodnight,” he said. “Next morning you walk in and there’s a snake in the bed.”

The Washington Examiner reported that as Finnegan looked on uncomfortably, the Democrat’s comment “was met with some awkward chuckling from the crowd.”
