The Road to Impeachment is full of potholes for Democrats

Most likely, we are all tired of hearing and reading the word “impeachment”. And yet, it remains important news.  It is the Democrats’ objective, in league with the Deep State and the mainstream media, to bruise and batter the President so hard that he loses re-election. If their undermining succeeds, it will be an unprecedented and monumental coup d’état to steal the 2016 presidential race from American voters. In fact, there are few political tricks in history that are more dirty, dangerous and hypocritical than this impeachment claim, a charade that has been imposed on the American public by Dems.

But what can we say that’s a fresh thought about this mess? Well, for one thing we can point out that this is the first impeachment attempt of a president that’s based not on an “abuse-of-power” act he committed, but on what he could or might do in the future; but, you see, the U.S. aid to Ukraine was released without the alleged “quid pro quo” being executed. Thus, no criminal behavior involved. In any event, the abuse-of-power charge is neither a criminal act nor within the constitutional criteria for impeachment.

But if abuse-of-power is to be applied to Donald Trump, the charge sits better on the head of House Speaker Pelosi, who abused her power beyond ethics when she permitted the Democrats’ witnesses to testify, but not most of the witnesses proposed by the House Republicans. She arranged closed-door secret hearings, and allowed the selective release of hearing transcripts.

The second thought to be asserted is that Trump now has the ideal message for his campaign rallies and his race: he will say the Dems & the Deep State have created a rogue, hidden civil service government within the elected government which has been brazenly out to get him since before he was elected (recall Strzok’s “insurance policy”), that the FBI used its immense power to take him down, and that the current DOJ inspector general’s report concluded that a secret government surveillance system carried out spying activities on American citizens, on American soil. Trump will say on the campaign trail that the laughable obstruction-of-Congress charges against him violate the Constitution’s separation of powers requirements, which create checks and balances to prevent one branch of government from exercising the core functions of another.

The President will say that the Democrats wasted months on pursuing impeachment, instead of giving us better jobs, protecting our borders, stopping drug trafficking, and building better roads. He will be persuasive when he talks about an unelected, entrenched bureaucracy of career government officials who try to secretly manipulate and drive national policy, working in secrecy without much transparency, and leaking national security information to their allies in the liberal press to further their political agendas.

The net result is that it’s hard to make the case that this impeachment process, with little evidence and with no principled arguments, will prove to be a winner for the Dems. And now that they have used impeachment as a political weapon, a future Democratic President may well regret his party’s scorched-earth aggressiveness.
