Jeanine Pirro and Kellyanne Conway admire Trump’s ‘animal spirits’ driving country’s ‘economic miracle’

In an interview with White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro talked about “animal spirits” being a factor in the strong Trump economy.

Naturally, the media would spin Pirro’s remarks to claim she was touting President Donald Trump’s “animal spirits.”

“What is amazing about it is the animal spirits that started almost as soon as the president took over and took office,” Pirro said.

Fortunately, there is the background here to clear things up, as the term was mentioned once before on her show.

In an August discussion with former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino on negative media coverage of the economy, Pirro said that the economy was doing well because of optimism over Trump being elected, a phenomenon she characterized as “animal instinct.”

Pirro said, “There is something called animal instinct that kicked in in the economy when the president was elected.”

“You are right, it’s called animal spirits,” Bongino replied.

Conway praised the deal just reached with China, as Pirro noted that “no one is talking about this because [Speaker Nancy] Pelosi is going on with this nonsense that’s now in the Senate.”

“We are talking about it,” Conway said. “And I think history will not look kindly on the instigators and the investigators of this period, and will reward those — beginning with President Trump — who actually showed courage and boldness in transforming our economy and our relationship with the world’s second-largest becoming China.”

She spoke about the details of the deal and how Trump approached it, saying that the American worker, farmers and ranchers, and manufacturers are all going to benefit.

“That’s what history will show was going on in January 2020,” Conway insisted. “We’re about one year away from [Trump’s] next inauguration and he will go to Davos in a couple of days and talk about the economic miracle that is the United States of America.”

This being a reference to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland coming up this week.

Pirro asked about the message the president is sending going to the summit on the very day his impeachment trial starts in the U.S. Senate.

“The message he sends every single day, he goes to work every single day on behalf of the American people and the results and delivery, the progress reports on the first few years of the presidency tells the entire tale.”

“It really doesn’t matter what they are doing,” Conway said. “They are wasting their time and your money, taxpayers, on this ridiculous trial — and we already know the outcome: the president will not be removed from the office. He’ll be reelected to the office and this economic boom will continue.”

She went on to talk about deregulation and the energy explosion in the country, which Pirro used as a segue to comment on the “animal spirits” at play with the economy.
