The public’s reaction to these posters ought to be interesting …

An eccentric Italian artist hellbent on raising awareness for several issues, some of them phony and some of them real, has placed the doctored photos of notable left-wing women on posters to convey his points.

Part of his “Just Because I am a Woman” campaign, each of AleXsandro Palombo’s posters contains the bruised face of one of the following women:

• Failed Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton …
• Former first lady Michelle Obama …
• Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez …
• German Chancellor Angela Merkel …
• French first lady Brigitte Macron …
• Etc.

“I am a victim of domestic abuse. I am paid less. I’ve experienced genital mutilation. I do not have the right to dress as I want. I can’t decide who I’m going to marry. I was raped,” each poster reportedly reads.

Palombo’s intention is “to illustrate the drama that affects millions of women throughout the world… with the aim of denouncing, raising awareness and obtaining a real response from institutions and politics,” his office reportedly said in a statement.

While the fight against domestic violence is praiseworthy — though to be clear, men account for roughly 40 percent of all domestic violence victims (though most domestic violence shelters cater only to women) — the other issues present some problems.

For instance, there is no pay gap  — or at least certainly not in the United States.

Second, genital mutilation and forced clothing are intrinsic to Islam, a religion that the likes of Clinton and AOC have been known to defend.

Moreover, in Islamic societies, women are forced to don hijabs. Yet Clinton and Obama have been known to promote the hijab:

Some would argue that you can’t logically promote women’s rights and betterment while simultaneously condoning the forced wearing of hijabs.

The next issue, forced/child marriages, also ties in with Islam. An investigation in 2018 found 18 mosques in the U.K. where officials were willing to perform a forced marriage involving a child:

“Undercover reporters filming a documentary about the prevalence of forced and underage marriage in Britain for the television program ITV Exposure secretly recorded 18 Muslim imams agreeing to perform an Islamic marriage, known as a nikah, between a 14-year-old girl and an older man,” The Gatestone Institute reported at the time.

“Campaigners against forced marriage — which is not yet a crime in Britain — say thousands of underage girls — including some under the age of five — are being forced to marry against their will in Muslim nikahs every year, and that the examples exposed by the [clip above] represent just ‘the tip of the iceberg.'”

Of the women used for Palombo’s campaign, Merkel may perhaps be the most Muslim-friendly.

“There is no question that our country is historically Christian and Jewish. It is also true that Islam has in the meanwhile become part of Germany,” Merkel, the architect of the E.U.’s failed Muslim refugee policies, proudly announced last year.

But to embrace Islam means to embrace all of it, including but not limited to the abuse, the mutilation, the forced clothing, the forced marriages and the condoned rapes.

Perhaps Palombo should have used the faces of conservative women like first lady Melania Trump,  former Muslim turned feminist Ayaan Hirsi Ali or fierce anti-Islam critic Pamela Geller to convey his points …
