Talk about dancing on a grave, President Trump did not hold back the contempt he held for Iran’s terrorist general Qassem Soleiman, who was killed last week in a U.S. airstrike.
In fact, the president made the decision to take out Soleimani a central part of his remarks Tuesday night at a Milwaukee campaign rally, suggesting that he considers the ongoing conflict with Iran a winning issue in the 2020 presidential election.
“Bernie is surging. Bernie! Bernie!” Trump said, mocking Sen. Bernie Sanders. “But the Democrats are outraged that we killed this terrorist monster — even though this monster was behind hundreds and hundreds of deaths.”
He talked a little about the protests in Iran against the current regime.
“Have you seen what happened in Iran?” Trump said. “The protesters are on our side. For the first time ever! They like Trump — they like you. I’m just your representative.”

His focus then went back to the opposition party and their efforts to undermine him as commander in chief.
“The Democrats are doing everything possible to disparage what we did with the hit on this monster,” Trump told rally-goers. “Many of the young men and women you see walking around without arms, without legs were done by Soleimani. That’s what he loved. He loved the roadside bomb.”
“Great percentages of people don’t have legs right now and arms because of this son of a bitch,” he continued. “And the Democrats should be outraged by Soleimani’s evil crimes and not the decision to end his wretched life.”
The crowd let out a loud cheer at the SOB remark.
Trump slammed his predecessor, former President Barack Obama, for not making an effort to kill Soleimani — referring to him as a “terrorist.”

“They’re saying, ‘Well, he was a general. He was this. He was that.’ You know what? Number one, he wasn’t supposed to be there,” the president said. “He was a designated terrorist by President Obama who didn’t do anything about it as usual. As usual, they don’t do anything. They designate and they don’t do anything about. He should’ve been killed 20 years ago.”
Politico said of the focus: “Trump has a lengthy new riff for his 2020 stump speech: his standoff with Iran.”
The piece commented that the president “claimed credit for changing Iranians’ views about the United States.”
Ya’ think? It certainly wasn’t meddling Democrats like former Secretary of State John Kerry.

The president said later half-jokingly that Democrats are going to start a whole new investigation into whether Soleimani had attacks on American interests in the works, as the Pentagon has stated.
“They’re saying, ‘Was the attack imminent? Was it imminent?'” he said. “Does the fact he’s killed hundreds of thousands of people and thousands of Americans and horribly killed and wounded thousands and thousands — that doesn’t matter.”
As usual, the crowd turned out in large numbers early on, despite the cold weather. The high on Tuesday was 36 degrees.

The Trump campaign touted another focus by the president that must have Democrats lying awake at night, that being growing support from black voters.
