Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, hit Democrats for playing politics with the killing of Iran’s terrorist general Qassem Soleimani, apologizing for America’s action instead of getting behind their country.
Conway included a brutal takedown of 2020 presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, the mediocre mayor of South Bend., Ind., as she noted how the Democratic field is struggling to draw interest these days.
“They’re starting to Feel the Bern again — the guy who beat Hillary [Clinton] in 22 contests in the [2016] primary — is raising all this money,” she said Saturday during an appearance on Fox News’ Watters’ World. “And if you’re a socialist on economic policies, we know what your foreign policy is.”
“They’re becoming apologists for the bad guys and that’s very disappointing,” Conway said. “Buttigieg, what did he want the President to do? He’s going to invite Soleimani into the wine cave?”
This being a reference to Buttigieg’s swanky Napa Valley, Calif., fundraiser at the Hall Rutherford winery, where guests dined at a table made of onyx under a chandelier that contains 1,500 Swarovski crystals.
“We know where Soleimani is and belongs,” she added. “We think [ISIS leader Abu Bakr] al-Baghdadi was looking very lonely in Hell and needed a roommate.”
“Yeah, I don’t think Mayor Pete would make it out of the wine cave alive, if he was in there with Soleimani,” host Jesse Watters chimed in — the comment being in regard to how homosexuals are treated in Iran.
Responding to Iran shooting a passenger jet out of the sky the same night it fired missiles at Iraqi bases housing U.S. troops, killing 176 people on board, Buttigieg took to social media to blame the tragedy on “an unnecessary and unwanted military tit for tat.”
Innocent civilians are now dead because they were caught in the middle of an unnecessary and unwanted military tit for tat.

Conway expressed disappointment in the Democrat-led House passing the Iran War Powers resolution in a weak attempt to restrain the president’s ability to use military action to protect Americans without congressional approval, while stressing that no Democrat was willing to support a resolution put forth by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, in support of the successful airstrike that killed Soleimani.
She called the Iranian commander “one of the world’s most wanted and feared terrorists.”
“When Osama bin Laden was taken out and killed, all senators supported a similar resolution, structurally similar — all 100,” Conway noted.
In noting it’s all “about politics and not about principle,” Watters ran a clip of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., giving her blessing to former President Barack Obama, a fellow Democrat, when he attacked Libya in 2011.
“Remember when she referred to something as Armageddon?” Conway asked. “Let’s have a brief quiz — a reminder. Was she referring to Armageddon as the death and destruction by Soleimani or al-Baghdadi? Was Armageddon the destruction going on in the Middle East? No, Armageddon is how she described the Trump tax cuts.”
“Now we have this unbelievable economic boom, the wage growth among blue-collar workers incredible,” she continued.” The Dow Jones hit 29,000 for the first time this very week. You’ve got the USMCA completed. Sen. Grassley is worried that because of the impeachment delay, it’s going to delay ratification, the full passage, and signing of the USMCA. So now our farmers and ranchers and auto manufacturers are stuck because of this impeachment nonsense and delay strategy.”
