The Islamic Center of England offered its condolences on the “martyrdom” of Iranian Gen. Qassam Soleimani following the U.S. airstrike over the weekend that killed him.
Soleimani was the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force, and had the blood of hundreds of Americans on his hands. He was considered to be a terrorist more dangerous than Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi or Osama bin Laden.

The anti-Trump media is not spending much time reporting that the Quds Force is a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.
The State Department released a statement saying Soleimani was “actively developing plans to attack” Americans:
General Soleimani was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region. General Soleimani and his Quds Force were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American and coalition service members and the wounding of thousands more. He had orchestrated attacks on coalition bases in Iraq over the last several months – including the attack on December 27th – culminating in the death and wounding of additional American and Iraqi personnel. General Soleimani also approved the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that took place this week.
Yet a statement on the Islamic organization’s website spared no praise in mourning Soleimani, even as it labeled the U.S. “the most wicked members of human race.”
“During the forty years of the venerated life of the Islamic republic, General Solaymani was consistently present on the battlefield with the devils and the diabolic powers of the world,” HIWM Sayed Hashem Moosavi declared. “Like Malik al-Ashtar, he fought bravely and sincerely in defence of the honourable sanctuary of Alawi leadership until his blood was shed at the hands of the most wicked members of human race, and by that he achieved his long-awaited wish which was martyrdom in the way of Allah.”
As seen on social media, a candlelight vigil was held in London for Soleimadi and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of the Iran-backed militias known as the Popular Mobilization Forces, outside the Islamic Center of England.

The American Center for Law & Justice said Soleimani was the most powerful general in Iran, who answered only to Iran’s Supreme Leader. Stressing that his authority was outside the normal military chain of command, the ACLJ said Soleimani “was given carte blanche authority for the export of terror around the world.”
And his handiwork — assassinations, terrorism and unconventional warfare — was seen in places like Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen.
The ACLJ offered a telling summary of the airstrike on Soleimani and the subsequent reaction.
“The events of the last several days are a reminder that there are evil people and terrorist forces who seek to do us harm,” the watchdog group said. “When they chant ‘Death to America’ and ‘Death to Israel’ they truly mean it. Our nation’s leaders and our men and women in the military have a solemn obligation and a Constitutional mandate to protect America against all enemies, foreign and domestic. We pray for our nation’s leaders and our men and women in uniform.”
