To hear left-wing Hollywood actor and filmmaker Ron Howard tell it, Hollywood was perfectly OK with current President Donald Trump when he was entertaining them.
And that’s why, he seemed to suggest in a lecture he posted to Twitter Wednesday afternoon, he and his peers in Hollywood had no qualms at the time about ignoring Trump’s allegedly “self-serving, dishonest, morally bankrupt, ego maniac” ways.
But now that the president’s busily engendering life-changing reforms for the American people versus making Hollywood laugh and giggle, Howard and crew don’t care for him.
Look:
In the entertainment industry many who have known/worked w/ Trump think that while his reality show was fun and ran a long time, he’s a self-serving, dishonest, morally bankrupt ego maniac who doesn’t care about anything or anyone but his Fame & bank account & is hustling the US https://t.co/Ep8ggvquMY

He posted the tweet as part of a longer thread concerning Trump’s booming economy.
The thread began earlier that morning when Howard posted an analysis piece from The Washington Post that claims Trump’s economy “lags” the economies of former Presidents Barack Hussein Obama and Bill Clinton.
As justification for this claim, the Post wrote that the Dow Jones has gained only 44.6 percent during his tenure in office, whereas it gained 55.9 percent during Obama’s tenure and 57.2 percent during Clinton’s tenure.
Yeah sure, except Obama had the benefit of entering office at the end of a recession, meaning the economy only had one direction to go at the time: Up. Clinton meanwhile served in office during the dot-com bubble.
In response to Howard sharing the Post’s analysis, a Twitter user reminded him of other relevant numbers that the Post had conveniently ignored, including unemployment, consumer confidence, GDP, etc. FYI, under Trump black unemployment has reached a historic low. But of course, the Post chose to ignore this.

Now add in unemployment numbers for all races/gender, GDP, consumer confidence and clearly he outpaces term all. ALWAYS trying to find fault….. Loved SOLO… stick to that.

The back-and-forth exchange eventually led to a Twitter user asking Howard a pointed question about Hollywood’s treatment of Obama versus Trump.
“Question: why is the smallest of achievements heralded as better than the second coming of Jesus when it comes to Obama, but with Trump, it is only negativity from Hollywood & Democrats?” the user wrote.
In short, why does Hollywood treat Obama like a king and Trump like trash?

And that’s when Howard dropped his tweet about Trump’s alleged immorality. In response, the public clapped back with the fury of a thousand suns.
The first batch of critics blasted him and other Hollywood elites for their hypocrisy and projection, given that Hollywood as a whole is teeming with immorality:
🙄Says, Ron Howard, my ‘Night Shift’ director who described the majority of the film industry.
BTW, Ron, is there still rampant drug use and adultery in your film trailers and offset, by film execs and cast?! 😵 https://t.co/qQnqnT5Y0f

You just described the majority of Hollyweirdos… *golf clap*
— Kimberly Morin (@Conservativeind) January 2, 2020
Sounds like projection from Hollywood types

Can you imagine the lack of awareness it takes to throw stones at Trump from the ‘dishonest, morally bankrupt’ glass house of Hollywood?
There is a doormat that reads:
Conservatives
NOT WELCOMEIf Trump hadn’t changed his politics, they would still love him.
Hypocrites.

The industry that shelters Moonves, Weinstein and Polansky? Watch that glass house there Ronnie
— Yanni Van Halen (@WeinoGiganto) January 2, 2020
You mean like the rest of you in Hollywood? Common, Opie. You’re shown in a photo with Trump in a bar. Hypocrisy runs rampant in Hollywood.

The second batch of critics laid out the truth of Howard’s tweet, which is that Hollywood supported Obama because they personally liked him but now refuse to support Trump because they personally dislike him.
As for all the current president has done for the American people — and for America’s allies in Israeli, and for the Hong Kong protesters and for so many others — to hell with them.
Look:
So they purposely minimize/ignore Trump’s actual achievements in office because they liked Obama personally more than they like Trump?
That’s bs. U just don’t care that low unemployment rates mean poor people can get jobs as much as u care about your SALT deductions
— Just a Dog (@justadog703) January 2, 2020
Well then he must have had an epiphany, because the last three years he has done great things to create opportunities for all Americans. In fact his successes are rubbing off on the rest of the world, note Hong Kong. Because of his/ our success they too want liberty and freedom.

Some people may have fallen for this Ron Howard BS at the beginning of Trump’s term in office but not now. He’s proven he cares for minorities, Israel, the military, the American working people and the prosperity of our country. He has kept his promises. He has put America first.

? REALLY RON?
TRUTH: Morally corrupt people don’t fight the DEEP STATE, they don’t fight for the People of the United States?? they don’t fight for the right, for law and order & they don’t fight against antisemitism or for Israel??
I CANNOT SAY THE SAME FOR ANY DEMOCRAT NOW
— ??Grace Kelly???? (@realgrace_kelly) January 2, 2020
Like stated up top, it all seems to boil down to Hollywood appreciating Trump when he entertained them but hating him now that he’s “entertaining” the wishes and demands of an overwhelming majority of the American people.
And well, this attitude seems awfully selfish …
This American sees right through the spoiled Hollywood propaganda. Talk about people who are greedy, selfish, and think they are above everyone else. You have no idea what it is really like out here in the real world. ?♀️
