Giuliani challenges ‘coward’ Swalwell for saying attacks on Jews being stoked by Donald Trump

Amid a troubling rise of attacks on Jews in America, Democrats are using events to attack President Donald Trump and those associated with the president.

This was seen Sunday in a tweet from Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., coming after five people were stabbed at Hannukah party at rabbi’s home in Monsey, a densely Jewish community just north of New York City.

Swalwell attacked Trump and his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, claiming the rise in anti-Semitism is “being stoked” by them. Giuliani pushed back late Sunday, calling the Democratic lawmaker “a fraud & COWARD!”

“Not only have I condemned anti-semitism early & often, I threw Arafat out of UN concert, prosecuted 2 Nazi War criminals, & went to Israel to help after bombings,” Giuliani tweeted. “Meanwhile, Swalwell, doesn’t have the guts to condemn the anti-semites in his own party – a fraud & COWARD!”

Swalwell’s attack was part of a tweet promoting an op-ed he wrote earlier this month about the rise of anti-Semitism.

Parroting the progressive left’s newfound strategy of attacking those who criticize the left-wing billionaire money man George Soros, as an anti-Semite, Swalwell wrote that Giuliani is among those who “have relentlessly attacked Jewish philanthropists including Michael Bloomberg and George Soros.”

In a recent interview with New York Magazine, Giuliani claimed former ambassador Marie Yovanovitch is “controlled” by Soros.

“Don’t tell me I’m anti-Semitic if I oppose him,” he added. “Soros is hardly a Jew. I’m more of a Jew than Soros is.”

Swalwell tweeted: “Anti-Semitism is on the rise in America. And it’s being stoked by @realDonaldTrump who won’t condemn it and Trump’s lawyer, @RudyGiuliani, who just this week said he’s ‘more Jewish than Soros.'”

Giuliani also called the man who holds the office he once held, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio a “coward” in the face of growing attacks on Jews in the city.

Taking to Twitter, Giulinai said the radical left politician may be the “worst” mayor ever in the Big Apple.

He tweeted: “Possibly the worst Mayor in NYC, de Blasio, has watched anti-semitism rapidly metastasize, like a cancer, & is too unconcerned or lazy to “nip it in the bud.” Otherwise called Broken windows theory, which should be brought back.

“A COWARD in that he has yet to condemn anti-semities in his own party who support BDS & similar movements, who’s main objective is to destroy the Jewish Homeland.”

In an interview Sunday on Fox News, Mayor de Blasio blamed hate “emanating from Washington” for anti-Semitic attacks around the country.

“An atmosphere of hate has been developing in this country over the last few years. A lot of it’s emanating from Washington and it’s having an effect on all of us,” de Blasio said.

When asked if he was blaming President Trump for the attacks, the mayor said, “Not just the president — I’m saying, but we have to be clear. We need a different tone starting in Washington.”

Of course, the “last few years” have been marked by the unhinged, toxic hatred of the president by intolerant Democrats and their media allies, not that Hizzoner mentions this.
