‘Cuomo has lost control, lost his mind!’ Trump targets NY Dems over others: ‘Makes me hate them more than I should’

President Trump took to Twitter on Saturday to say the partisan pursuit of him by Democrats in New York City and the state of New York “makes me hate them.”

The biased media quickly spun the president’s words to claim he said he hated the city and state.

“So sad to see that New York City and State are falling apart. All they want to do is investigate to make me hate them even more than I should. Governor Cuomo has lost control, and lost his mind. Very bad for the homeless and all!” Trump tweeted.

This is not the first time the president has called attention to New York Democrats coming after him in what Trump insists is an unprecedented effort to take him out.

“The Radical Left Democrats have failed on all fronts, so now they are pushing local New York City and State Democrat prosecutors to go get President Trump. A thing like this has never happened to any President before. Not even close!” he tweeted in October.

It’s bad enough that President Trump was subjected to intense scrutiny by the U.S. intelligence apparatus before even being elected to office and has been held under a microscope by Democrats — who weaponized the lower branch of Congress in their pursuit of undoing the 2016 election results — almost since taking office.

And though House Democrats, under the tutelage of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. succeeded in their partisan attempt to impeach Trump, they’ve let it be known that this doesn’t preclude them from impeaching the president again!

Which means Democrats in Washington have no intention of stopping the endless digging on Trump.

In addition to this campaign, the president is locked in a legal battle with Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., who is pursuing Trump’s tax returns.

The Supreme Court is expected to hear three cases regarding the president’s financial records in early 2020. Two cases concern subpoenas issued by House Democrats and the third centers on an investigation by Vance.

From a prominent Democratic family, Vance enforces state laws and is not bound by Justice Department guidelines preventing federal prosecutors from charging a sitting president with a crime.

After Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen was convicted, federal prosecutors shut down the investigation into hush-money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal before the 2016 presidential election.

In a matter of weeks, Vance’s office began investigating whether anyone at the Trump Organization violated state laws by filing falsified business records, as related to the payments to the two women who claimed they had affairs with Trump.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James is also pursuing Trump’s tax returns and financial records — Democrats in the state passed the TRUST Act early this year allowing New York officials to access the president’s tax returns if they were already requested by the federal government.

James’ office also pursued the lawsuit against the Trump Foundation, alleging that it violated state and federal charity law.

But this was all very predictable, as James said while campaigning for office: “I will never be afraid to challenge this illegitimate president.”

The left-wing prosecutor responded to a tweet from Trump in July, in effect, taunting the president after he said in a tweet that Gov. Cuomo “uses his Attorney General as a bludgeoning tool for his own purposes.”

In a series of tweets, President Trump added: “Now Cuomo’s A.G. is harassing all of my New York businesses in search of anything at all they can find to make me look as bad as possible. So, on top of ridiculously high taxes, my children and companies are spending a fortune on lawyers. No wonder people and businesses are fleeing New York in record numbers!”

Cuomo has made it clear that the state will be doggedly going after Trump, as seen in his response to the president declaring residency in the state of Florida earlier this year.

“When you filed your taxes, you were a New York resident. If you defrauded the state, you defrauded it when you were a New York state resident. Just because you move out does not mean you are not liable for what you say in those taxes,” the Democrat said during an appearance on MSNBC.
