Understanding there will be no check by the media — which was once looked upon as the fourth branch of government, but is now seen as a reliable ally — the Trump-hating Democratic Party has been clear that the act of impeaching President Donald Trump doesn’t necessarily stop with the two articles of impeachment approved by the House last week along party lines.
With House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., engaged in gamesmanship, withholding the articles of impeachment from the Senate in hopes of dictating how a trial in the upper chamber will play out, Democrats are threatening that addition articles could be filed against the president.
And Republican lawmakers, such as Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., are crying foul.
The digging on President Trump continues, as lawyers for the Democrat-run House Judiciary Committee said Monday that Trump may be impeached a second time over potentiality new evidence that he tried to obstruct investigations of his conduct, Politico reported.
The committee continues to pursue testimony from former White House counsel Don McGahn and secret grand jury material from former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation — even though they have already impeached the president.
House Counsel Douglas Letter said in a filing in federal court: “If McGahn’s testimony produces new evidence supporting the conclusion that President Trump committed impeachable offenses that are not covered by the Articles approved by the House, the Committee will proceed accordingly — including, if necessary, by considering whether to recommend new articles of impeachment.”
Graham took to Twitter to say it’s time to “end this insanity” and cut off Democrats by voting the GOP back into the majority.
“Democrats are treating impeachment as an open bar tab,” Graham tweeted. “Time to cut them off, take their car keys away (put GOP in control of the House), and end this insanity.”

Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., known to be a little more adventurous in his protests of the opposition party, was equally outraged in responded to Graham’s tweet.
The lawmaker also had an interesting question regarding Pelosi.
“You’ve got to be kidding. They may impeach Trump again?!” he tweeted. “It’s gone from the Kangaroo Court Impeachment… …to the Keystone Cops Impeachment(s).. Will Pelosi send the Articles from the last Impeachment before drafting the next ones?!”
