Civil rights atty makes ‘crazy’ unsubstantiated claim against GOP voters…Candace Owens is NOT having it

Fox News host Laura Ingraham did a segment Thursday night on the left’s obsession with “racial justice,” noting that a Democratic Party that lives by identity politics may end up dying by identity politics.

A fiery exchange between her guest panelists showed how prevalent the issue is for the left, as civil right attorney Leo Terrell found himself outnumbered going against Ingraham and Blexit Movement founder Candace Owens.

Agreeing with Ingraham, Owens said the left is eating its own over race.

“I called this in 2016,” she noted. “I said there would be a black exit. More and more black people are waking up to the politics of the left and realizing they don’t have our best interest at heart. They use us every 4 years and say, ‘black people be afraid’ because they need our vote.”

Owens said black voters “have so much authority right now,” pointing out how much President Donald Trump has done for them.

“It’s getting better for black America and I think the Democratic Party is absolutely losing it,” she declared.

Terrell had the audacity to tell Owens that as a black woman, she’d never be elected to office by Republican voters.

“The Democratic Party is the only chance for African-Americans to take office, the Republicans will never in our lifetime ever nominate a black,” Terrell said. “The key is here — I want to be clear on that … it will never happen.”

The assertion sent Ingraham and Owens through the roof.

“That is so crazy!” Owens interjected.

Ingraham also fired back, telling Terrell that his remark was “so offensive.”

Terrell refused to back down, insisting that the GOP “will never nominate a black in our lifetime for president.”

(Herman Cain was well received by Republican voters in 2012 before a bevy of women came out of the woodwork to level accusations of inappropriate behavior. Not to mention, Ben Carson was a frontrunning candidate in the 2016 GOP presidential primaries. Red-state Kentucky voters just elected the state’s first African-American AG, etc…)

Ingraham reminded her guest that it was the Republican Party that freed the slaves, as Owens laughed out loud at his claim.

“Candace belongs to a party that will never nominate a person like herself,” Terrell said, as she quickly told him he can’t be taking himself seriously.

“Yeah, they would actually,” Owens countered. “They’re already making Candace 2024 shirts, so that’s ridiculous.”

As he doubled down, Owens said, “You will never be successful because all you see is color. It’s unfortunate.”

Terrell dismissed her comment as talking points as their exchange become more and more heated, claiming he was making a statement of fact.

“It’s not talking points,” she replied. “You’re racist. That’s a racist thing to say. You are looking at the color of my skin and telling me what I can’t do.”

Ingraham intervened to regain control, while exposing the tactic being employed by Terrell.

“You just did what the Democrats are doing on impeachment.,” she said. “You are asserting an opinion which you have every right to have — actually a projection of an opinion as a fact. Don’t say it’s a fact. You are a lawyer. It’s not a fact. If I were the judge in a courtroom I’d sanction you for continuing to lie to the court. It’s not a fact, it’s an opinion and your opinion is bunk! It doesn’t matter what color skin you have.”

Owens chimed in to say Democrats “are the real racists.”

She and Terrell went at it again as he claimed that 90 % of black Americans will vote for the Democratic Party. Owens made a bold claim that 20% of black voters will back Trump in 2020 — if true, the Democratic Party will implode.

“We will play this tape back when Trump wins and cracks the black vote,” she said, as Terrell called on Ingraham to save the tape.

“Candace Owens just said on national TV that 20% of African-Americans will vote for Trump. That will never happen. We will go back to that,” he concluded.

The reaction online suggested that Owens would get plenty of Republican votes. Not for the color of her skin, but for the content of her character.
