Actor Rob Reiner has become so deranged in his views toward President Trump and the Republican Party that he makes the “Meathead” character he played in “All in the Family” look like a rational scholar.
The radical left director launched a scatter gun attack Saturday on the president and white evangelicals who back him, claiming that they joined with white supremacists to make a pact with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A nonsensical assertion that suggests Reiner overdosed on a little too much CNN.
“Every elected Republican knows that this President is guilty of countless Impeachable offenses,” he tweeted. “But they, along with many White Evangelicals & White Supremacists have made a pact with Putin. But unlike a pact with the Devil, this one can be unsigned.”

Reiner may be an unhinged progressive zealot incapable of differentiating between liberal dogma and reality, but he’s not entirely stupid.
Like much of the media, he understands that impeaching Trump is little more than a rubber stamp process in the Democrat-controlled House, but any hope of fulfilling the pipe dream of removing the president from office rests in the hands of the Republican-controlled Senate.
And to get a two-third majority in the upper chamber to go along with the Democrats’ partisan effort to take out Trump, that’s going to require a large number of defections.
A taller order than liberal Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, Lisa Murkowski, R-Ala., and Mitt Romney, R-Utah, can fill on their own.
So Reiner did what liberals always do to bully weak-kneed Republicans — he played the race card.
A common tactic from him, as seen in a tweet from Reiner over the summer.
“The President of the United States is a racist. He’s made it abundantly clear his re-election is based on white nationalism. If you support him, there can be no distinction between you being a racist and a racist enabler. They are the same,” he tweeted.

And he was clear in a tweet the day after Thanksgiving that he has impeachment on the brain.
“Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Now back to Impeaching and Removing the most Criminally Corrupt President in US History,” he wrote, inching ever closer to the off-the-wall ALL CAPS tweets regularly seen from Cher.
With Democrats set to rush through the impeachment process this week, Reiner was doing his part to get the troops refocused.
Social media users wasted little time letting “Meathead” know how they feel … here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:

Making even less sense than usual, tweethead. You got the impeachnent you craved since day one. Working out well. What’s plan z? New tries at impeachment in the spring, summer and fall? And then every season of the second term too?
