Actor Rob Schneider took to Twitter over the weekend to make a passionate stand for free speech, saying that “you are either for ALL of it or… you are for none of it.”

“Sorry to have to repeat this again: Free Speech is ALL speech. Even the speech that you find repugnant. You are either for ALL of it or… you are for none of it. We don’t need people deciding FOR us what to think, see or hear. That’s a load of totalitarian crap,” Schneider tweeted.

The star of “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo” and “The Animal,” followed up with another tweet calling out the social media giants.

“Amazon is already banning books that dare question medical orthodoxy. Facebook, Google, YouTube bury information as well. The push within democratic societies to further restrict their own freedoms is a road we mustn’t take,” he added.

Fox & Friends” co-host highlighted Schneider’s tweets early Monday in a segment featuring comedian Karith Foster, who agreed with the actor.

No one group has had to deal with the perils of politically correct speech more than comedians.

Rob Schneider definitely has a point. You’re for free speech or you’re not,” Foster said. “There is no a little bit. Like being a little bit pregnant. Either you are or you aren’t.”

You comedians are the first ones to get stifled,” Kilmeade stressed. “You can’t be as creative as you want, you can’t push barriers because all of sudden you’re pushed off the stage.”

Foster said that is what’s happening, that people complain when they hear things they don’t like. She also offered a reminder on just what comedy is.

A lot of places, a lot of clubs, people are complaining,” she explained. “They’re not understanding, comedy comes from pain. Everybody has heard the equation: tragedy plus time equals comedy.”

“It is not always going to be comfortable but if you can laugh at it, you can get through it,” Foster added. “That’s one of my mottoes. That’s what comics believe. The idea is to use humor to heal wounds, use humor to bring people together, to connect us. If we don’t have that going for us we’re in a sad state.”

Foster is featured in the docudrama, “No Safe Spaces,” which stars Adam Carolla and Dennis Prager, and explores how college campuses have now become a threat to free expression.

What is interesting is that while the attack on free speech started off as a conservative issue, it is now coming from the far left,” Foster told Kilmeade, adding that “hopefully the pendulum will swing back because if we don’t correct this, we’re in serious trouble.”

Kilmeade said that if things don’t change, you can throw out polls.

Unless you’re a comedian who speaks out on stage for a living, you keep your mouth shut,” he explained. “For example, it doesn’t really benefit you to walk around saying I support Donald Trump — especially in your industry, to not support Donald Trump is in. They vote the way they vote but they will lie to every poll until things change.”

“Nobody is talking to each other. Everybody is scared to death to voice their opinion and its sad,” Foster said. “Like, this is not what should be happening. This isn’t what America was built on, this isn’t what the Constitution is about.”

The comedian went on to say that we “are supposed to be able to agree to disagree” and that she wants to know what other people’s thoughts and ideas are.

“Even if they don’t agree with mine. Especially if they don’t agree with me. I want to know who they are. So we can talk, debate, have a conversation,” Foster concluded.
