‘Where’s the justice?’ Reaction pours in over Stone’s guilty verdict, Trump among the first

When it comes to holding people legally accountable in Washington, D.C., it appears that this territory is reserved strictly for those on the pro-Trump side of the political equation.

On Friday, a D.C. federal jury found Roger Stone guilty on multiple charges in a case stemming from former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation — you are sure to recall the early morning raid by an armed S.W.A.T team to take the 67-year-old Trump supporter into custody.

Stone was indicted by a grand jury in January on seven counts: five charges of false statements to the House Intelligence Committee, obstruction of the Intel committee’s Russia investigation, and witness tampering.

Among the first to respond to the news was President Trump, questioning “a double standard like never seen before.”

The president cited a long list of political characters with highly dubious repertoires.

“So they now convict Roger Stone of lying and want to jail him for many years to come,” the president tweeted. “Well, what about Crooked Hillary, Comey, Strzok, Page, McCabe, Brennan, Clapper, Shifty Schiff, Ohr & Nellie, Steele & all of the others, including even Mueller himself? Didn’t they lie?”

“A double standard like never seen before in the history of our Country?” he added in a second tweet.

Speaking of Trump, a White House petition has been launched calling for a full pardon of Stone.

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, had his own unique take on the “justice” on display here.

“Roger Stone was found guilty on all counts as a part of this witch hunt investigation It’s not surprising considering: It was an all-Democrat, Washington DC jury. Tried by a Never-Trump judge. The entire media railed against him constantly. Shameful,” he tweeted.

Most egregious in Stone’s guilty verdict is a comparison to the actions from Hillary Clinton, who is in every sense of the word above the law.

Here’s are a couple of reactions related to Clinton — sarcasm included.
