Creepy porn lawyer Michael Avenatti’s star burned exceptionally bright as he moved to capitalize on his 15 minutes of fame, courtesy of President Donald Trump.
But Avenatti’s character failed to match the level of admiration seen from the likes of CNN and MSNBC, which had the attorney who represented porn star Stormy Daniels a whopping 108 times in little over a two month period in early 2018, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
In some left-wing haunts, Avenatti was celebrated as a potential 2020 presidential candidate, but his short-lived celebrity status has fizzled so badly that contestants on “Jeopardy!” could not name him — and this included James Holzhauer, the celebrated contestant who won 32-straight games and earned a record $2 million-plus.
On Thursday night’s Tournament of Champions episode of Jeopardy!, show host Alex Trebek said: “This lawyer’s star rose while repping Stormy Daniels but fell after he was accused of trying to extort millions from Nike in 2019.”
Silence ensued from three champion players.
“His name quickly forgotten, obviously — Michael Avenatti,” Trebek quickly noted, before moving on to the next question.
There was news this week in the $25 million Nike extortion case against Avenatti, as authorities dropped two charges against the attorney and added one more.
In other news, it was reported last month that Avenatti, who was arrested in March, will stand trial in April 2020 on charges that he stole from his former client Stormy Daniels.

New York prosecutors have charged him with stealing nearly $300,000 from Daniels in the course of representing her and helping her secure a book deal, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutors said Avenatti diverted two $148,750 installment payments from Daniels’ $800,000 book advance by forging her signature in a letter to her literary agent and directing that the money be sent to his bank account.
And while Avenatti is now but a footnote in the bizarre chapter of American history that will be titled Trump Derangement Syndrome, he hasn’t lost his zeal for hating on President Trump.

If the question would have referred to him as the Ambulance Chasing Sleeze representing Stormy Daniels they would have known the answer. The reference to Attorney threw them off.
