Members of the far-left group Antifa have reportedly been attempting to further deplatform a legendary female mixed martial arts champion over her involvement in a scuffle that erupted last Sunday in Portland, Oregon.
Ahead of veterans day, MMA champion Tara LaRosa and other members of Portland’s emerging pro-Trump community chose to demonstrate with American flags on behalf of the countless Americans who’ve served their country.
In doing so, however, they attracted the attention of a deranged protester who began throwing her fists after they told her to get lost.
Watch:
NEW video from yesterday’s altercation at the Veteran’s Day flag wave in Portland, OR over I-84. She failed to start a fight w/me, so she chose someone else. In this video she clearly attacks another woman & throws the first punch. I broke up the fight & kept her from being hurt. pic.twitter.com/G0dGbEkXKn

LaRosa, a professional fighter, quickly intervened by subduing the woman:
At flag-waving rally in Portland, @TaraLaRosa takes anti-Trump protester to ground after she allegedly attacked another woman.
Protester: I’m a professor
Karma: you’re a professor on the ground and Tara’s b*tch

In the process, she claimed she had been bitten.
Despite sustaining injuries while performing the honorable task of breaking up the fight, LaRosa is now being targeted by Antifa members hellbent on getting her booted from the mobile payment apps Square and Cash App, which are used by many to collect donations from fans.
“Hey @Square @CashApp. @TaraLaRosa is a violent white nationalist, and closely affiliated with the fascist Proud Boys group, who is using your platform for charity for her white nationalist cause,” one Antifa member tweeted Tuesday.
This tweet was posted by a Twitter account with the handle “Long Beach Antifa.”
The Antifa member posted additional tweets Wednesday expressing frustration at Square and Cash App’s apparent refusal to kowtow to his fascistic demands.

While the Antifa member was correct in noting LaRosa’s ties to the Proud Boys, he was entirely wrong about she and the Proud Boys being fascists and white nationalists.
The Proud Boys is a pro-free-speech, pro-liberty fraternity that’s led by Enrique Tarrio, a Cuban immigrant who was raised in Miami’s Little Havana but who’s nevertheless been smeared as a “white nationalist” by the discredited SPLC and its far-left media allies.
Responding to the Antifa member’s tweets, LaRosa mocked the irony of it all and further noted that this isn’t the first time someone from the far-left has attempted to deplatform her.
So, let me get this straight…
I break up a fight, saving one of their people from taking serious damage…
And Antifa tries to deplatform me from yet another site? Awesome ?? pic.twitter.com/6lkxz7mcUs— Tara LaRosa (@TaraLaRosa) November 13, 2019
While it’s not clear when exactly Antifa first tried to deplatform her, a search of her Twitter turned up some posts she made over the summer in which she admitted to having been booted from PayPal sometime in the past over the terrorist group’s complaints.
She further shared a quote from conservative commentator Paul Joseph Watson regarding deplatforming and its use by the far-left to silence opposing voices.

Or here! I was deplatformed on paypal by Antifa 6 months ago, so I have to use other forms of funding ?#FuckAntifa

“Deplatforming has nothing to do w/stopping hate, harassment, doxxing &violence.
Conservatives have been the primary victims of hate, harassment, doxxing &violence for yrs.
Deplatforming is about leftists silencing their enemies &corporations eliminating their competition
Fact”— Tara LaRosa (@TaraLaRosa) June 12, 2019

What makes deplatforming particularly dangerous is the fact that it’s been adopted by members of the mainstream media, who’ve argued relentlessly that information that doesn’t fit their preferred narrative is “misinformation” or “disinformation” that must be banned. So must so-called “hate speech” and so-called “conspiracy theories.”
Except for the conspiracy theories they tout, of course.
The media have also defended Antifa, despite its track record of violence. It’s arguably in part because of the media’s support for Antifa that the group possesses the “credibility” and “power” to influence giant corporations like PayPal in the first place.
Both Antifa and the media have defended their deplatforming campaigns on the basis that they were targeting allegedly nefarious figures like Alex Jones and Richard Spencer.
While that may be true, a plurality of evidence exists showing that their deplatforming campaigns are now beginning to target everybody with a dissenting view, from Christian conservatives to even radical feminists like Meghan Murphy, who was deplatformed from Twitter last year for arguing that men are men and women are women.
Included among the evidence is the left’s latest deplatforming campaign against LaRosa, a woman who’s been dubbed a white nationalist because she stopped an anti-Trump lunatic from hurting others, and because she associates with a pro-freedom group that’s led by a Cuban immigrant who too is apparently a white nationalist
