Trump retweeted 9/11 tribute on 11/9 … because John Bolton, of course!

Conspiracy theorists among the caviar-sipping left-wing Twitter “Resistance” — or Twiterrati, as they’re known — were out in full force this weekend thanks to President Donald Trump’s apparently spooky tweeting habits.

The particular tweet that sparked the controversy was a retweet of something former National Security Adviser John Bolton tweeted on Sept. 10, a day before the 18th-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

Because the tweet referenced the “9/11” attacks, and because the retweet was posted on Saturday, Nov. 9 (aka “11/9”), Twiterrati members were certain something fishy and perhaps even nefarious was afoot.

*play creepy paranormal music*

Luckily for those Americans who appreciate sanity, none of the theories posited were actually that bizarre and conspiratorial — not this time around, at least.

The leading theory was that the president was simply trying to send some sort of message to Bolton, who’s thus far rebuffed requests by congressional Democrats that he testify regarding the Ukraine non-scandal.

But what message could it be?

Note that the retweet was posted the same day that word emerged Bolton is reportedly ready to spill the beans on “many relevant meetings and conversations [on Ukraine] that have not yet been discussed in the testimonies thus far,” but only under the orders of a judge.

The retweet was also posted the same day that it was reported Bolton had signed a book deal.

“Bolton has struck a deal to write a book for Simon & Schuster, according to two sources with knowledge of the deal,” CNN confirmed. “One of the sources said the book will come out sometime in 2020 before the presidential election.”

Perhaps the purpose of the president’s retweet therefore was to was warn Bolton to stay quiet and show respect like he used to do before he was ousted from office two months ago? That certainly appears to be the conspiracy theory that Bill Kristol and others like him have adopted:

But perhaps there’s another reason why the president retweeted Bolton.

Consider the tweet’s context. It speaks of the need for America to remain committed to “combatting [SIC] radical Islamist terrorist groups.”

Also consider the timing. Thirteen days prior to the president retweeting Bolton, he announced the successful elimination of notorious ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

And dovetailing back to Saturday, shortly after the president posted the retweet, reports emerged that Trump wants to recognize the military dog that was injured during the raid on al-Baghdadi’s compound by presenting it with a Purple Heart.

“It is the president’s desire to honor the dog. They are working out the details,” a White House source confirmed to the New York Post.

Maybe it’s all connected somehow …

The last one is particularly interesting. The theory is that Trump mistakenly mistook “11/9” for “9/11.” But for him to make such a mistake, he’d have to be a real bupkis. Is he, though? Well, liberals certainly want to believe that he is …
