Will Trump take on Mexican cartels as next target?

Nowadays we Americans just gotta find the right sources for our news…

Just days ago UK’s Independent ran this headline: “’You sometimes need an army to defeat an army!’ President [Trump] tweets.” After the massacre of an American Mormon family in Mexico, our president expressed his hope to receive a call from Mexico’s President Obrador for an invitation to assist in the fight against the pervasive drug cartels.

I don’t check our president’s tweets minute-by-minute so must have missed that one … so did all of America’s major news sources, it seems. Have you read it anywhere other than our president’s tweet? No, me neither.

USA Today’s AZCentral tells us Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is skeptical, unwilling to accept our president’s invitation. Skeptical? Polite way of saying ‘no’?

Some politicos, Fox News reveals, like former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State under Bill Clinton, Joel Rubin, are prolific at describing the waters to someone who is drowning in great detail. Yeah, no real solutions. His contention is that most of the guns owned by the cartels are American. Ah, yes. This is accurate, according to the ATF Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. And obvious. Remember Fast and Furious? Rubin went on to say that a bipartisan 2008 initiative between the U.S. and Mexico has given Mexican law enforcement the military hardware and training to combat the cartels. 2008 … So, how’s that workin’ for us?

According to a Judicial Watch white paper, Derek Maltz is a narco-terror expert and former DEA official who has made a powerful case for designating Mexican drug cartels as Foreign Terrorist Operatives or FTOs in the Ohio legislature. This following a huge bust of the infamous Sinaloa cartel in the state. Ohio’s legislature drafted a resolution to be introduced at the federal level to hopefully eliminate the cartels. Pronto.

The resolution if implemented at the federal level would require President Trump to officially label Mexican cartels as FTOs. Then American military could quickly and thoroughly engage. Like we did in Syria. Like we did in Columbia.

Our American military is now undeniably the best in the world. To have another nation’s militia assist in eradicating this criminal terrorism from a population would be a real boon to our continent and the world. As Mexican presidents have come and gone, they have been unable to eliminate these infamous drug lords and their army of followers living in the hills and high country of Mexico’s Michoacan.

Liberal Wikipedia defines the Mexican drug war as a “low-intensity conflict.” It also states that 90% of the cocaine that enters the U.S. comes from La Familia in central Mexico and is transferred to the street gangs of Logan Heights, San Diego. It also tells us that Mexican analysts believe La Familia, which is the most violent cartel formed in the 1980s with a perverse religious fervency, promised to bring order to Michoacán with help and protection for the poor. (Gee, they need analysts for that? Sounds like Hezbollah-Hamas generosities, huh.) In 2018, according to then Mexico’s Public Safety Secretary Genaro Garcia Luna, La Familia actually recruits from drug rehab clinics by helping addicts recover and then forcing them into their service or be killed.

In June this year, Conservative Review reported that the Mexican government now admits 80% of its populated areas are now run by the cartels. An internal Mexican document conceded that it has lost control over every important populated area outside Mexico City, particularly the most sensitive areas of the U.S.-Mexican border. At that time the cartels were sending tides of trafficked migrants into unprotected border areas like Antelope Wells, New Mexico, which were totally controlled by Sinaloa.

Maltz, a firsthand witness of cartel beheadings, car bombings, dissolving humans in acid, mass murders, torture, bombings, and political assassinations, has this to say: “Their [the cartels’] actions are consistent with the behaviors of traditional terrorists.” Maltz also reports that the cartels have spread to “major hubs in Southern California, Arizona, Chicago, Texas, New York and Atlanta” and have “expanded into South Florida.”

Why our American and Mexican governments refuse to recognize the border as an insurgency conflict rather than simply an immigration issue is beyond reason. And why, when his nation is consumed with such heinous lawlessness, would Mexican President Obrador refuse our help?

Machismo, perhaps?
