Starbucks sparks ‘War on Christmas’ debate early with not-so-‘Merry’ mugs

Lovers of Christmas have accused the coffeehouse chain Starbucks of reigniting the infamous War on Christmas.

Why? Because the demonstrably liberal chain has sanitized this year’s Christmas festivities in such a politically correct manner that even the forever-jovial Santa Clause would find it appalling.

Recall how secularists often modify the conventional “Merry Christmas” greeting used to say hello to people during the Christmas season by saying “happy holidays” instead. While it’s definitely a violation of Christmas norms, it still isn’t THIS bad:

OH NO IT DIDN’T!

Oh yes, oh yes it did …

“The coffee chain is unveiling … four new seasonal cups — and none of them uses the word ‘Christmas,'” Fox News confirmed Thursday. “The closest it gets are the words ‘Merry Coffee’ on two of the four designs, plus ‘We wish you a merry coffee,’ on a newly designed cup sleeve.”

Oh no …

Despite the blithesome nature of the season, this newfound “attack” on Christmas provoked quite a bit of outrage on social media — some of it from the most unexpected of sources, like say Christmas-loving Muslims. No joke!

Look:

Now take a closer look at the last tweet. If you think the Twitter user was just joking about “vagrants shooting up in the All Gender toilet,” then you deserve a buzzer.

Three years ago Starbucks began allowing customers to use whichever restroom they felt like using, regardless of their biological makeup.

“Starbucks, Hudson’s Bay Co. — parent company to Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue — and Barnes & Noble all [said] that employees and customers in their stores are welcome to use the bathroom of the gender they identify with,” USA Today reported in 2016.

One year later, Starbucks garnered the spotlight again when it made the apparent error of calling the cops on two black loiterers who refused to leave a shop in Philadelphia after being denied access to the store’s restrooms.

Employees denied the men access because of a company policy that limits restroom use to only customers who first purchase something. The two black men refused to purchase anything. They ultimately wound up being arrested.

This arrest provoked unfair accusations of racism, which in turn spurred the left-wing corporation into instituting a new policy that lets “any” guest use any of its restrooms whenever they feel like it.

The policy wound up attracting so many junkies to the coffeehouse chain that employees began begging the corporate office to to install needle-disposal boxes in their store restrooms.

*facepalm*

Meanwhile, there doesn’t seem to be even one example of a Starbucks employee petitioning the corporation to stop dissing Christmas and just start celebrating the ancient holiday like a normal American.

And FYI, Starbucks has taken to using its new “Merry Coffee” slogan on social media:
