If you thought Elizabeth Warren was confused about the way health insurance works before, brace yourself for her latest comments.
Warren has had trouble explaining how she will pay for a Medicare-for-All plan without raising taxes on the middle class, and a new specific plan released by her campaign has only led to more people scratching their heads. The Massachusetts senator and presidential hopeful has now tried explaining what will happen to private insurance employees put out of work by her government-friendly plan.
Asked what will happen to private insurance employees displaced by her plan, Warren explained those employees will simply move to other insurance jobs.
“If you’ve had a chance to read the plan, you will see no one gets left behind,” Warren explained. “Some of the people currently working in health insurance will work in other parts of insurance. In life insurance, in auto insurance, in car insurance.”
“Some will work for Medicaid,” she continued. “And there is a five-year transition [of] support for everyone because what this is about is how we strengthen America’s middle class and how we make sure that in transitions no one gets left behind.”

Q: Where do those who work in health insurance go when private insurance is eliminated?

So not only does Warren’s plan call for $52 trillion in funding, but it also calls for the immensely complex job of finding new work for every single person working in private insurance? The fact that she thinks the government is capable of such an undertaking highlights her myopic view.
It should come as no surprise that Warren’s latest mind-boggling health insurance comments have not inspired much confidence from folks.

Bad answer from Warren.
How will Medicare for All create hundreds of thousands of new jobs in life insurance and auto insurance?
If this is the best she can do, it means her real answer to “what happens to health insurance workers?” is “who cares?”
Much better answers possible. https://t.co/yRtepTUAvJ— Nicholas Grossman (@NGrossman81) November 2, 2019
Warren: Here is my awesome plan!
Media: OMG! *fapfapfap*
People: Y’all know car and auto insurance are the same thing, right?
Media: SHUT UP, MAGA SCUMBAGS!!!

Has the NY Times taken a break from fact checking dog photoshops to fact check the math on Warren’s overhaul of the American healthcare system & auto insurance industry or is that just work?

Lmfao Warren wants you to think when millions of jobs are lost in the health insurance industry, millions of new jobs will magically open up in the car insurance industry.
How are these candidates real? https://t.co/UvVhzq3Gug
