Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ronan Farrow fired a shot at former President Bill Clinton, saying the nation’s 42nd chief executive was “credibly” accused of rape and that alleged victim Juanita Broaddrick’s claim was “overdue for revisiting.”
“Could Bill Clinton, if he had done what he did in 1998, survive today — or would his own party have thrown him under the bus?” Bill Maher asked Farrow in a panel discussion during HBOs “Real Time” on Friday night.
“I think that it is very important to interject that Bill Clinton is a different conversation,” Farrow said. “He has been credibly accused of rape. That has nothing to do with gray areas. I think that the Juanita Broaddrick claim has been overdue for revisiting.”
Many people believe there’s much more to uncover.
Farrow is the son of Mia Farrow and either Woody Allen or Frank Sinatra, depending upon what mood and time of day his mother is questioned. Ronan is, however, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and a capable attorney and investigative reporter. His work on his book “Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators” is credited to have started the Me Too movement. “Catch and kill” is a questionable, covert tabloid newspaper technique used by National Enquirer and other rags. Using a legal non-disclosure agreement, the tabloid buys exclusive rights to an individual’s story but then kills the story before publishing. The book recounts Farrow’s challenges faced while chasing the stories of Harvey Weinstein’s alleged rape, sexual assault, and sexual abuse of women. Allegations of the mercurial studio executive’s abuse had been an open secret in Hollywood for decades and began to spread virally in October 2017 as a hashtag on social media, demonstrating the widespread prevalence of sexual assault and harassment of mainly women in the workplace today.
Because of Jeffrey Epstein’s recent incarceration and possible murder, Clinton’s dark and shady association with the suspected sex trafficker of under-aged girls has again come to light. Clinton’s cover-up of an inappropriate sexual encounter with Monica Lewinsky, a White House intern, got him impeached and disbarred in 1998. Going back to the 1970s when he was the Arkansas governor, accusations of his sexual predator proclivities continue to resurface again and again. There have been many, many allegations. Broaddrick, Gennifer Flowers, the numbers are past counting.
Recently, Democrats have cast a blind eye to so many acts of unethical and, frankly, deviant behaviors that Americans wonder if they will ever see their sins past and present. Democrats in the White House continue to blur lines of proper presidential behavior: John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Bill Clinton. Oh, there are plenty of indiscretions within both political parties. However, they have not only survived but thrived within the Democrat party.
But if a Pulitzer tagged, dogged gumshoe like Farrow was to investigate? The dark and shady world of wealthy princes and presidents flying to an isolated island to “meet and greet” with young, drug-induced Epstein girls? How many times did Clinton fly on the Lolita Express? This is so good, you can’t make it up.
Although Epstein pleaded ‘not guilty,’ he was criminally charged back in 2008 as a sexual predator by a Florida court for procuring under-aged girls for prostitution. He served 13 months with extensive work release. He is dead now, either suicide or murdered, inside his Manhattan jail cell while awaiting trial. But there is most assuredly lots of damning evidence to uncover. That is, unless Democrats continue to coddle and embrace this kind of behavior.
Still, seems like too much there for someone like Farrow to ignore.
