Matt Gaetz gets last laugh after triggered ‘Ellen’ producer calls him a ‘f-ing tool’

In less than 24 hours, unabashed Freedom Caucus member Rep. Matt Gaetz managed to trigger members of the awfully “triggly” left twice. And in both instances, he wound up with the last laugh.

The first triggering happened after he posted a photo to Twitter of himself kicking it at the World Series with President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump.

For some inexplicable reason, the photo provoked rage from the very sorts of cognitively dissonant geniuses who literally worshiped former President Barack Hussein Obama.

Among them was Andy Lassner, the executive producer of comedian Ellen DeGeneres’ syndicated TV talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Look (*Language warning):

The implication was that Gaetz is a sycophant.

But speaking of sycophants …

Additional sycophantic tweets that he posted in the past but later deleted — but that still remain archived by Google — show even more sycophantry:

May 7, 2017: “Congratulations on receiving the #ProfileInCourageAward @BarackObama. America misses having a president.”

June 13, 2019: “… to see “Happy Birthday Mr. President” is trending, click on it and realize it’s all people devastated it’s not about @BarackObama.”

Aug. 11, 2019: “@BarackObama. I miss the dignity, patience, kindness, compassion, charisma, intelligence, rationality, fortitude, and”

Gaetz eventually responded to the Obama sycophant’s tears by taking a shot at NBC.

“I’d ask NBC if they stand behind such a dumb/triggered/profane comment from a senior employee…,” he tweeted. “But I’ve learned after reading #CatchAndKill that accountability isn’t really NBC’s ‘thing.'”

This triggered another round of recriminations and faux mockery because Lassner isn’t technically an NBC employee, given as “Ellen” is a syndicated show.

However, “Ellen’s Game of Games,” another show by DeGeneres, isn’t syndicated — it plays only on NBC. And wouldn’t you know it, Lassner is its executive producer. And as its executive producer, it stands to reason he represents NBC to at least some degree.

As of Tuesday morning, Gaetz’s tweet had an additional 13,000+ replies, most of them from obsessed liberals still angry that he’d dared to share a photo of himself kicking it with America’s duly elected president — and now equally mad over him criticizing Lassner and his “employer”:

But despite all the petty mockery and insults from the left, it appears Gaetz got the last laugh. How so? On Monday he was saluted by Orlando’s Orange County Republican party for helping them raise over $100,000 over the weekend.

“The Orange County Republican Party announced Monday that it raised more than $100,000 and netted more than $60,000 from its ‘Trump Defender Gala and 2019 Annual Lincoln Day Dinner’ fundraiser Saturday night that featured a keynote speech from Republican U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz,” FloridaPolitics.com confirmed.

“This is an incredible amount to raise in an off-year election cycle,” Orange County GOP chair Charles Hart said in a statement. “The media has been so busy attacking the President we’ve had time to become stronger and better organized, the party has a plan and didn’t need an autopsy to figure out what was wrong.”

Meanwhile, as Gaetz was busy raising money for his fellow Republicans and kicking it with the president, liberal Democrats were busy losing the fundraising battle and crying their hearts out on social media over an otherwise quaint photo. Sad.
