Gay pro-Trumper goes undercover with ‘Dems don’t own me’ sign at Vegas Starbucks to see reaction

Trump supporter and conservative activist Scott Presler decided to conduct a bit of an experiment while he was visiting Las Vegas. Presler went to a Starbucks wearing a pro-Trump shirt and using a laptop announcing his support for the president and he filmed the reactions people had.

What’s surprising — considering we live in a time when conservatives are literally attacked in public for their beliefs — is that Presler had many positive interactions with people.

“We’re here in Las Vegas, Nevada, and we had this scathingly brilliant idea. We are going to go downstairs to the Starbucks at the [Stratosphere Hotel] with my Trump computer,” Presler announced in a video posted to his social media on Friday.

Presler’s computer carries the message: “I’m gay. Trump 2020. Democrats don’t own me.”

“We are going to go downstairs [and] scope out the area. We are secret spies on a mission, and our goal is to see what people say to us. Is it good? Is it bad? Is it ugly? But, either way, I’m going to ask people: are you registered to vote at your current address?” Presler said.

Presler is as open and honest as he can be in the video with people who stop and give a double-take to his computer.

“I’m not scared anymore. I want people to know I love this president,” he says to one woman.

Many are seen taking pictures with Presler and others use the opportunity to talk with a fellow Trump supporter about what’s so right about the president.

“Love him or hate him, how can you not respect him?” one man speaking to Presler says. “I respect that he’s done exactly what he said he’s going to do.”

“That’s why I love him. I want someone to look me in the eye and if they make me a promise, they keep that promise,” Presler replies.

Presler keeps to his promise of asking people if they are registered to vote at their current address. He also tries passing along the mission.

“So here’s what you’re going to do from now on,” Presler says to one man, “whenever you meet a new conservative or Trump supporter, just ask them a simple question like I did to you: are you registered to vote at your current address?”

“You guys are now family,” he says to another pair of Trump supporters.

Presler is an experienced, boots-on-the-ground activist. He has also led viral cleanup campaigns in suffering liberal cities like Baltimore and Los Angeles.
