Chick-fil-A may get a constant barrage of hate from the wokest of the woke on the left, but they prove again and again that they are America’s most giving and fun fast-food chain. And their chicken sandwiches aren’t half bad either.
All of Utah will be able to get free chicken sandwiches this week as part of the chain’s “fowl play” promotion. The giveaway comes after Steven Adams of the Oklahoma City Thunder missed two free throws during the NBA season-opening game to the Utah Jazz. Chick-fil-A has made a season-long promise to give away chicken sandwiches to Utah customers if an opposing team misses two free throws in a row during the fourth quarter.
Chick-fil-A is likely paying up far sooner than they expected since their specific standard was met in the opening game of the season. They will be getting something out of the deal though. The free sandwiches can only be claimed through the Chick-fil-A app. Customers can start claiming the sandwiches on Thursday.
Chick-fil-A has gotten into the team spirit before. They offered free sandwiches to anyone wearing an “authentic Heat jersey” in April of this year. The promotion was in partnership with the Miami Heat.
Even people who don’t live in Utah are loving the fast-food chain’s new promotion:
At least we can count on Chik-fil-A to keep its promise.

And who could say no to a delicious free chicken sandwich? Oh, right. Liberals: to them it’s only good if it’s free from the government.

Despite Chick-fil-A constantly garnering goodwill with customers, they are still the target of many left-leaning groups. A shop that opened in the U.K. this month is reportedly closing its doors after its six-month lease was not renewed, due to pressure from LGBTQ groups. A location that opened in Canada last month was also flooded with protestors.
Despite all of this pushback, Chick-fil-A has only seen sales increase and its popularity rise.
The opposition to Chick-fil-A stems from higher ups in the company like Dan T. Cathy (chairman, president, and CEO) supporting groups that oppose same-sex marriage. The company has made public statements saying their main focus is on food service, but the connection is still too much for many liberals to handle.
Again, this has not stopped Chick-fil-A’s popularity with customers. When fellow fast-food chain Popeye’s introduced a chicken sandwich in August and got into a viral “chicken sandwich war” with Chick-fil-A, Chick-fil-A came out on top. Popeye’s quickly discovered that they could not meet customer demands and were subject to viral marketing jabs from Chick-fil-A.
Chick-fil-A has become such a cultural cornerstone in the United States, they are even part of Kanye West’s new album “Jesus Is King.” In the song “Closed on Sunday,” the chorus goes: “Closed on Sunday. You my Chick-fil-A.”
The repeated line is no doubt going to earn West even more scorn from the political left, but fans are loving the shoutout:
