Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski didn’t pull punches in his assessment of the 2020 presidential election, going so far as to say socialists in the Democratic Party will allow “illegal aliens to come across this border and kill Americans.”
Appearing on Fox Business Network’s “Trish Regan Primetime,” Lewandowski was asked about President Donald Trump potentially matching up with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.
“I think if the Democratic party wants to get beat in the worst electoral loss since Ronald Reagan’s re-election, then they should absolutely make Elizabeth Warren their nominee,” he said. “Look she is going to win in California, she is going to win in New York and she’s going to win in Massachusetts, but she won’t win in the middle part of America like North Dakota and South Dakota and Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, those places where people care about their jobs, where they’re proud to be Americans again.”
“And they should be unapologetic about that,” Lewandowski continued. “That’s what Donald Trump has delivered to America, being proud to say you’re American again — to be unapologetic about being an American.”
Lewandowski lumped Warren in the same category as Sen. Bernie Sanders, though Warren has not publicly owned her socialist views as the Vermont senator has done.
“Don’t forget, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, they’re avowed socialists,” he said. “They want to redistribute wealth. Anybody who’s made something successful, they want to take it away from you. They want illegals to come across the border and kill Americans. And they think that’s what America stands for? I don’t agree at all.”
Regan was taken back somewhat over the extreme rhetoric but quickly moved on to talk impeachment.
Critics seized on the “incendiary” comment about illegal aliens killing Americans, but the point Lewandowski was making is that these two support decriminalizing illegal border crossings — which effectively creates open borders.
The Democratic Party steadfastly advocates on behalf of illegal immigrants, putting the interests of those in the country illegally over U.S. citizens — all in the name of pandering to the Hispanic vote.
And while a complicit media downplays the consequences of illegal immigration and are quick to claim illegal aliens commit crimes at a lesser rate than US citizens, the fact remains that Americans are being killed by people who should not be here.
The state of Texas is reportedly the only state that tracks the immigration status of those charged with committing crimes, and the statistics offer a glimpse of the risks Americans face.
The Texas Department of Safety reported that between June 2011 and September 2019, 205,000 illegal aliens were charged with more than 324,000 criminal offenses, to include arrests for 586 homicide charges, 3,849 sexual assault charges, and 5,123 sexual offense charges.
President Trump cited these figures in a tweet back in January while imploring Democrats to come back to the bargaining table amid the government shutdown.

Border arrests are up 240%,” the president tweeted. “In the Great State of Texas, between 2011 & 2018, there were a total of 292,000 crimes by illegal aliens, 539 murders, 32,000 assaults, 3,426 sexual assaults and 3000 weapons charges.
