Disgraced fmr. Dem Sen. Al Franken accused of groping…for the 9th time

A total of nine women have come forward to accuse former Senator Al Franken of groping.

Nine.

The latest accuser told New York Magazine that she was working for Senator Patty Murray in 2006 when the alleged incident occurred.

She said she posed for a picture with Franken — he was not a senator at the time — and he grabbed and squeezed her behind while they posed for a picture together.

“[Franken] puts his hand on my a**. He’s telling the photographer, ‘Take another one. I think I blinked. Take another one’,” the woman claims. “And I’m just frozen. It’s so violating. And then he gives me a little squeeze on my buttock, and I am bright red.”

The accuser says she felt “deeply, deeply uncomfortable,” but did not come forward at the time.

“It was such a confusing experience. At first, I didn’t take it all that seriously … There is something that tells men that they, particularly those who have a lot of power, that they have access to my body in some way that is based on the hierarchy of the organization that we’re working in or society or whatever it is,” the accuser added.

The woman is described as a “military veteran who is now a senior staffer at a major progressive organization.” She is choosing to remain anonymous.

The most attention-grabbing accusation against Franken before was one was from radio news anchor Leean Tweeden. She said she met Franken during a USO tour in 2006. She accused Franken of forcibly kissing and groping her during a rehearsal for a skit the two were going to perform together.

“I felt disgusted and violated,” she said about the alleged incident, according to NBC News.

Franken left office in January of 2018 amidst allegations of sexual harassment from multiple women. This latest accusation drops while the former senator is in the middle of an attempt at a comeback. He just recently made a late-night appearance on “Conan” and he recently hopped onto SiriusXM to do a talk show.

“When this first happened, if you had asked me — ‘Have you ever made a woman feel uncomfortable by the way you put your arm around her or touched her or something like that?’ — I would have said no,” Franken said during his appearance on “Conan.” “And after all these allegations came in, I thought, well, I must be doing something wrong, right? Ever since, I’ve been a lot more mindful in my interactions with pretty much everyone.”

“People who know me know that I’m not that guy,” he later added. The former senator also said during the interview that he felt he didn’t get due process when he was facing accusations of sexual harassment.

Leftists like Bill Maher have previously tried to make arguments in favor of Franken being publicly forgiven for his alleged actions.

On top of his work as a Democrat senator, Franken is also a former cast member and writer for “Saturday Night Live.” He also appeared in the failed television show “LateLine” and did brief guest spots on shows like “Clerks: The Animated Series.”
