De Niro fires off barrage of F-bombs on CNN when asked about Trump

Robert De Niro is back to going on vulgar tirades against President Donald Trump and conservatives.

“F*** ’em. F*** ’em,” De Niro said of Fox News on Sunday morning in an interview on CNN’s “Reliable Sources.” Even host Brian Stelter was in total shock by the outburst.

“This is cable, so it’s not an FCC violation — but it is still a Sunday morning,” Stelter said in response to De Niro’s repulsive language. “Why do you choose to go that way?”

De Niro’s little outburst came after Stelter asked him how he felt about getting criticized by “folks at Fox” over his vulgar rants against the president.

“We are in a moment in this country where this guy [Trump] is like a gangster. He’s come along and he’s said things and done things — we say over and over again, ‘this is terrible. We’re in a terrible situation,” the actor said after his bit of vulgarness. Stelter then cut to a commercial break.

De Niro also called Trump “crazy” during the interview and questioned the president’s mental health.

“If it wasn’t for you, CNN, MSNBC and some other outlets, The New York Times, Washington Post, I mean, where are we? This is a crazy world,” De Niro said to Stelter. “This guy is crazy. We’ve got to get him out.”

“When you say crazy, do you mean in a medical sense? Because that gets criticized pretty quickly,” Stelter responded.

“Possibly medical, too. I’m starting to think. I didn’t think that before but now, I actually, when I saw him out in front of the helicopter talking endlessly and sweating and sweating,” De Niro said.

As for why De Niro would be invited onto a CNN show to discuss politics, Stelter took to Twitter to respond to a critic and to say the purpose of his show is to “how the media world works, how the news gets made.” He said interviewing “one of the best-known actors in the world” fits “squarely within” that purpose.

De Niro also launched on Trump with TMZ where he said he would prefer for Vice President Mike Pence to be president over Trump.

“Nothing could be worse” than Trump, said De Niro. He added that he could at least “deal” with Pence.

De Niro liely is looking for some viewer attention as he does media rounds promoting his new film, Netflix’s “The Irishman.” The movie was directed by Martin Scorsese and also stars Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Harvey Keitel.

Along the way, it’s his MO to insult conservatives while getting political to convince people he’s topical. In fact, being aggressively political and insulting is the new go-to for celebrities.

Woody Harrelson is another example. While hosting “Saturday Night Live,” a gig meant to promote his own upcoming movie “Zombieland: Double Tap,” the actor insulted Melania Trump and Fox News viewers.

Speaking about immigrants, Harrelson said, “But let’s face it, most of ’em, they don’t come by boat anymore. I mean they just walk right in. We see that every day on the news. Well, Fox News, anyway. Oh geez, if what I just said offended Fox News viewers, I apologize. And if I hurt the one Fox viewer who’s also an immigrant, well I apologize to you, Madam First Lady.”
