Elizabeth Warren’s social media posts are all kinds of awkward. From her selfies to her unnatural presence in videos, scrolling through the senator’s Twitter account is a tough thing to do.
The presidential hopeful has been calling supporters this past week — caught on video, naturally — to thank them for contributing to her campaign. One call is going viral, but for all the wrong reasons.

Warren called “Queer Eye” star and “Over the Top” author Jonathan Van Ness to thank him for recently endorsing her. Warren posted a split-shot video of the two talking and it’s beyond awkward.
“I wanted to give you a call just to say thank you. I’m glad we are going to be in this fight together side by side. I love the endorsement,” Warren says to Van Ness, who seems to be on the verge of screaming in giddy excitement throughout the video.
Van Ness says it is the issue of health insurance that made him support Warren. The senator responds by saying that healthcare is a “basic human right.” Her healthcare plan, by the way, would see taxes go way, way up.
“I’m so excited to be shoulder to shoulder with you too. I can’t believe you called!” Van Ness later says. He also asks how he can be “of service” to Warren’s campaign.
He even pleads with Warren to “save America” and help get rid of Mitch McConnell, a man Van Ness refers to as “the worst.”
Check out the video below:
Thank you for your support, @jvn! Shoulder to shoulder, we’re going to fight for #MedicareForAll. No one should be able to make a profit off of denying people health care—and together, we’ll win. pic.twitter.com/8aF4Ut55jq

Plenty of conservatives have taken to social media to give their reactions to the bizarre phone call:
Just 2 normal people interacting.

Van Ness is best known as the “grooming expert” on the television series “Queer Eye.” He is also a podcaster and author.
He defended his endorsement of Elizabeth Warren on Twitter this week.
“For all the people really shook about my endorsing EW, harness your energy, get the f*** off twitter and go change peoples minds instead of being hateful online. I can’t imagine Bernie would disagree with that,” he wrote.

He also recently tweeted about spending time with Nancy Pelosi.
Spent time w @SpeakerPelosi I asked her how we pass the #EqualityAct – She told me any constituent who is an LGBTQ Ally – CALL & FLOOD the inboxes of your REPUBLICAN SENATORS and make @senatemajldr bring this to a vote – there IS bipartisan support in the senate. @HRC https://t.co/gpGxYrVP2d
