Schiff defends his asinine parody of Trump call after he finds out he’s being shredded for it by public

House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam “Pencil Neck” Schiff has attempted to make excuses for his widely criticized decision to present pure fiction as fact during a committee hearing Thursday with Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire.

According to Schiff, what he did was just fine because it was just a mere parody.

“[M]y summary of the president’s call was meant to be at least part in parody. The fact that that’s not clear is a separate problem in of itself,” he said.

The hearing concerned a call President Donald Trump made to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky over the summer. During the call, the president asked Zelensky to investigate 2020 contender former Vice President Joe Biden over alleged corruption.

Democrats believe the transcript of the call proves that the president tried to pressure Zelensky into investigating Biden for political purposes. Both Zelensky and Trump have disputed this, with the Ukrainian president claiming his U.S. counterpart exerted no pressure over him and the president claiming his request had been about rooting out corruption, not hurting Biden.

The call is an issue only because of a partisan whistleblower who brought it to the attention of U.S. government intelligence officials, including Maguire.

While questioning the DNI during the hearing Thursday, Rep. Mike Turner, a Republican member of the committee, argued that the whistleblower’s complaints don’t match the phone call’s transcript. He then turned his attention to Schiff’s made-up story.

“What else it’s not, it’s not the conversation that was in the chairman’s opening statement,” he said. “While the chairman was speaking, I actually had someone text me, ‘Is he just making this up?’ And yes, he was. Because sometimes fiction is better than the actual words or the text.”

“But luckily the American people are smart and they have the transcript, they’ve read the conversation, they know when someone’s just making it up.”

Unfortunately, America also contains an astonishing number of far-left radicals and zealots who believe the Democrats’ every lie or tale hook, line, and sinker. And it doesn’t help that as of noon Thursday, not a single mainstream media outlet had called Schiff out yet for his lies.

Instead, the media were celebrating Schiff for “torching” Trump with his fabricated statements:

So much journalisming …

In the words of CNN propagandist Oliver Darcy, “[W]hatever this is… it is not ‘news.'”

It appears to be partisan hackery designed to portray the events of Thursday’s hearings in a light conducive to the Democrat Party but damaging to the Republican Party.

For if it were real news, then these reports would also contain information about the lies Schiff told with his so-called “parody” of the truth.

Instead, the media’s reports all contained just one side of the story — as is, of course, perfectly fitting for any propaganda designed to deceive and/or obfuscate.

Listen to Turner’s scathing criticism of Schiff below:

Though Turner’s criticism of the committee chair wasn’t covered by any mainstream media outlets, they did make certain to cover those of his other remarks that were conducive to the Democrat Party.

“Concerning that conversation, I want to say to the president, this is not OK,” he’d said earlier in the hearing. “That conversation is not OK. And I think it’s disappointing to the American public when they read the transcript.”

He believes that, while Trump’s decision to ask the Ukrainian president to investigate Biden wasn’t an impeachable offense, it was nevertheless “not OK.”

And surprise, surprise, since his use of the words “not OK” benefited the Democrat Party, of course the media rushed to tell the world about it:

Once again, the media chose to only tell one side of the story. So much journalisming …
