MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough let his TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) get the best of him when he fell for a parody of the now-infamous transcript at the center of Democrat’s impeachment fever.
What should have been a glaring red flag that the transcript was a farce was the fact that Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” tweeted it.
The second glaring clue should have been the ridiculous script written to portray Trump as someone who didn’t know who he was talking to.
“And it’s very impressive, what you’ve done, with that country, and the people of that country. Where it is. The people and the buildings, in that country,” read the parody tweet. “A wonderful place that I know very well – it has great roads and food,” it continued.
How can you “shakedown” a foreign leader, as alleged by the liberal media and Democrats, if you don’t even know who it is you’re talking to? A logical question, but not for Scarborough who was quick to jump on the joke believing it’s real.
Scarborough has been pushing the Democrat spin that Trump strongarmed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in order to get dirt on Democrat Presidential candidate Joe Biden. A transcript of the phone call between the two leaders was released on Wednesday where Trump used the word “favor” while asking Zelensky to look into possible meddling of the 2016 election by the DNC. The word “favor” has been largely taken out of context to push the allegation that Trump was setting up a quid pro quo to get Biden:
“I would like you to do us a favor, though.” #QuidProQuo

Senate Majority Advisor Matt Whitlock was quick to point out Scarborough’s flub before the MSNBC host deleted it. “Major media figures falling for parody transcripts that even have the Daily Show watermark aren’t helping things,” Whitlock wrote.

Scarborough had quote tweeted the parody script with an exploding head emoji to show how aghast he was that Trump had made the fake comments.
A screenshot of the now-deleted tweet can be seen below and is circulating through social media:
After helping to launch Trump to the Oval Office, Scarborough and fellow “Morning Joe” show host and lovebird Mika Brzezinski quickly became two of his most outspoken and vicious critics. It seemed Scarborough couldn’t resist the urge to slam Trump when he saw the parody tweet ignoring all the red flags, including the Comedy Central watermark.
That mistake earned him a sound hammering on social media.
#Journalisming isn’t going well.
It was actually a funny parody. How’d THAT happen? Given #Comedy-isming isn’t going well either ….

The TDS has driven them mad.
Or… stripped them of 20 IQ points and the entirety of their sense of humor

You can’t fix stupid but you can sure make a mockery of it. MAGA 2020

And while patriots were busy reaming Scarborough for being a “stupid” sucker, the MSNBC host got busy slamming “dimwitted” Trump defenders.
Trump hacks are now circling the wagons trying to confuse the most dimwitted among us. Rather than losing the “quid pro quo” argument, they retreat to the position that Trump’s Biden “ask” was separated by a few sentences from Ukraine’s military “ask”…so it’s irrelevant. ???

You can’t “fix stupid” and you can’t fix arrogant either.
