Fox Business host Lou Dobbs is a fan of President Donald Trump, even going so far as to call conservatives who don’t support the president’s agenda “RINOs.” But there is one thing he apparently cannot abide, and that’s a “Trump dynasty.”
President Trump’s campaign manager Brad Parscale told reporters that he thought the Trump family would end up being a “dynasty.”
“I just think they’re a dynasty,” Parscale said in a speech on Saturday at the California Republican Party’s fall convention. “I think they’re all amazing people … with amazing capabilities. I think you see that from Don Jr. I think you see that from Ivanka. You see it from Jared. You see it from all.”
He added that he believes that the Trump family influence would “last for decades” and change the Republican Party. “One must continue to adapt while keeping the conservative values that we believe in,” he said, though declining to comment on whether any of the other Trump family members will seek elected office in the future.

Dobbs responded on Twitter without mincing words, calling Parscale’s comments “one of the dumbest things” that’s ever been said by a campaign manager.
This may be one of the dumbest things a campaign manager for a populist candidate ever said: Trump family building ‘dynasty’ for decades to come #MAGA #AmericaFirst #Dobbs https://t.co/7cvDLRUlje

Parscale’s follow up tweet — while not directly aimed at Dobbs — sought to mock the critics of his comments, implying that they are “triggered” by his assertion.

Twitter had some opinions on the matter, with many Republicans criticizing Dobbs for his comments and believing that Parscale’s thoughts were actually merely meant to irk Democrats.
Thank you for writing the Democrats’ talking points, Lou.

Might be just a little dig to get under DEMS skin. Trolling them to see if they throw a fit.

Lou you’re not paying attention.

Liberals were more vocal in the comments, with a resounding chorus of “I told you so” echoing throughout their words.
You helped create this. There will be no washing of the hands.

You populist is really an authoritarian, Lou.

My my, @LouDobbs. Now let’s see if you can make the incredibly obvious leap: Trump’s so-called populism isn’t about the people. It’s about Trump.
