Sarah Huckabee Sanders, back in all her glory, followed up her Friday Fox News debut on “Fox & Friends” with a Saturday appearance on Jeanine Pirro’s “Justice,” slamming James Comey and declaring: “He’s lucky that he’s not already in prison.”

Pirro welcomed the popular former White House press secretary, then posed the question to Sanders about whether Former FBI direector James Comey was going to get away without being charged.

“I’m going to start with the whole idea of what my open was about and that is, the inspector general’s report, Jim Comey pretty much skating on that,” said Pirro. “But the inspector general made it clear that there was lying and there was leaking. And yet the media is almost dead silent about it. And Bill Barr could have prosecuted. Juxtapose that against Bob Mueller and the fact that Mueller said there was no collusion and the media went ballistic for months. Explain that. You worked with them.”

“I think that shows exactly what kind of bias is out there against the president,” replied Sanders. “Look, let’s not forget, this is the third IG report to come out and show that Comey was a liar and a leaker and he disgraced himself and did a total disservice to the FBI.”

“I think we’re seeing more and more and more and continued reasons why the president was completely right in firing James Comey,” continued Sanders. “He was unfit to lead the FBI and he didn’t need to be there. I think the sad thing is if Democrats were honest with themselves, they all said that right up until the moment that the president fired Jim Comey. They thought the same thing. Only once the president made that move did they start to disagree with him.”

She added, “We’ll see what happens and whether the Department of Justice and Attorney General Barr take any action. I think Attorney General Barr has done a phenomenal job …”

“Here’s the thing. I’m going to interrupt you there,” said Pirro. “As I go around the country with my book fair, everyone says, ‘Jeanine, are there ever going to be charges? Are there ever going to be consequences?’ And I believe in Bill Barr. In the book, I talk about the fact that he’s like a slow locomotive. Nobody is going to get him off of the track. But he’s going to get there. But I haven’t seen him do anything yet. Why are you so sure?”

“I think he’s going to do the right thing,” Sanders replied. “At the end of the day …”

“Jim Comey has to be indicted for what he did,” Pirro said. “He defrauded the FISA court.”

“I think he’s lucky that he’s not already in prison,” declared Sanders. “We’ll see what happens. Again, I have total confidence in Bill Barr. He’s shown himself to be a real leader. We’ll see what happens. I’m not going to get into what that exact punishment needs to look like, but there certainly should be consequences and I think the American people want to see consequences.”

“I just don’t want them to lose faith. And I don’t want to lose faith,” said Pirro. “I spent 30 years in the justice system, without fear of favor, and I’m still a believer and I just don’t want to be disappointed.”
