Radical left, media allies ramp up calls to ‘go after’ and shut down Fox News, much like 8chan

The intolerant left, to include anti-Trump media forces, are in full force following the two shootings over the weekend that killed 31 people, seizing the moral high ground to go after political opponents — never mind one of the gunmen was a self-described “leftist” who favored Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., for president.

Not only are President Trump and the Republican Party being targeted, but so too is Fox News — the only major alternative voice to the liberal domination on cable TV.

Amid the news that network provider Cloudflare shut down 8chan, the fringe site where the suspected El Paso gunman reportedly posted his hate-filled manifesto, radical leftists are hoping to see Fox News suffer a similar fate by claiming that the network is a voice of racism that spreads white nationalism, whatever that may be.

This being consistent with the left’s dangerous habit of shutting down debate and silencing all opposition… while calling others fascists.

Dan Pheiffer, former senior advisor to President Barack Obama, led the charge with the familiar tactic of trying to shame advertisers.

“If you work for Fox News, advertise on Fox News, or support Fox News in any way, you are enabling the spread of White Nationalism in America and probably making a pretty penny doing so,” he tweeted, in the furtherance of his political agenda.

As for 8chan, the site quickly found a new online host in Epik.com, which also owns the security company BitMitigate, and was back up.

But not for long.

London-based Voxility, a provider of network hardware and services, upended both Epik and BitMitigate by terminating its contract with the companies, according to the Associated Press.

CNN, which struggles mightily to compete with Fox News, was only too glad to bring on critics to slam the rival network.

And Pheiffer was far from the only progressive to go after Fox News, as the narrative was picked up as if proliferated on a JournoList-like Google forum.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., replied to a tweet from Leah Greenberg, who is with the Trump resistance group Indivisible.

Greenberg claimed the El Paso shooting “was a terrorist attack targeting Latinx people. It was spurred by the same white nationalist ideology that is promoted by the President of the United States and mainstreamed by Fox News.”

Applying the same tactic that resulted in 8chan getting shut down, Warren tweeted, “We need to call it out: Fox News is a hate-for-profit machine that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracists.”

Robert Francis O’Rourke, who is fondly referred to in the media as “Beto,” also took the opportunity to bash Fox News in the same breath as talking about banning the sale of “weapons of war” — which are already banned.

The vile, hard-left site Daily Kos was also on board, as seen in a tweet from Jennifer Hayden, news manager at the site — Hayden was far more transparent in her effort to apply the tactic.

While the narrative was being set, liberal whack job Tom Arnold was busy calling for putting “boots on their evil necks before it’s too late!”

Here’s a sampling of others jumping on the “Get Fox News” bandwagon, the First Amendment be damned.
