An attempted terror attack on a government detainment facility in Tacoma, Washington is now being laid at the feet of the Democrat’s whose sense of hyperbole is to be blamed for this whole situation.
At least that’s according to Customs and Border Protection acting Commissioner Mark Morgan, who did not mince words when it was time to point fingers.
“Why is this happening? We know why it’s happening. The rhetoric that’s out there from our own elected leaders,” Morgan said Monday on Fox News. “They are attacking the men and women of ICE. They are attacking the men and women of CBP. It’s unjust, it’s unfair, it’s misinformed — and outright, sometimes they are just lying to the American people, and it’s undoubtedly fueling this.”
When Willem Van Spronsen, 69-years-old, showed up at the Tacoma facility armed with flares, molotov cocktails, and an AR-15, it was clear that he had one thing on his mind: Destruction. His firebombing ignited a nearby vehicle, though he also targeted propane tanks attached to the building as well. It wasn’t long before he was confronted by police and shot dead.
As with every good crazy person, Van Spronsen left a “manifesto” in which he labels himself a member of Antifa, and referred to the detainment facilities as “concentration camps,” exactly like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The Nazi-era reference also likens anyone who works at these places to the murderous National Socialists who are responsible for the deaths of millions of men, women and children. It also justifies violence against them, putting ICE employees and their families in danger.
Morgan was outraged by the lack of accountability from the lawmakers, who have refused to make official statements condemning the attack.
“This year alone, [the men and women of CBP] rescued almost 4,000 individuals — individuals trying to illegally enter this country,” he explained. “They rescued them. They saved their lives. The last time I checked, in the concentration camps, Nazis were killing people. Customs and Border Protection are saving lives.”
“It’s irresponsible rhetoric and there should be some accountability,” he concluded.
Watch below:
Van Spronsen’s manifesto was posted on Antifa’s official website, and reads like the ramblings of the clinically insane.
“In these days of fascist hooligans preying on vulnerable people in our streets, in the name of the state or supported and defended by the state,
In these days of highly profitable detention/concentration camps and a battle over the semantics,
In these days of hopelessness, empty pursuit and empty yearning,
We are living in visible fascism ascendant. (I say visible, because those paying attention watched it survive and thrive under the protection of the state for decades. [See Howard Zinn, A People’s History of the United States.] Now it unabashedly follows its agenda with open and full cooperation from the government. From governments around the world.”
This is what the left has created with their rhetoric. And they refuse to condemn it.
