Angry Pelosi snaps at reporters when pressed on AOC’s racism allegations, says fight is over. But, it’s not

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made it clear during her weekly press briefing Thursday that she’s tired of reporters “wasting” their questions asking about her ongoing catfight with socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Why? Because according to her, the catfight is over …

Except it’s not!

If anything, the catfight was pushed to the next level this week after Pelosi reportedly slammed AOC’s chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, in a closed-door meeting with Democrats.

Late last month, Chakrabarti posted a since-deleted tweet ripping “moderate” Democrats such as those within the Blue Dog Coalition as “Southern Dems” who “certainly seem hell bent to do to black and brown people today what the old Southern Democrats did in the 40s.”

Responding to this trash-talking, Pelosi said privately to her caucus this week, “Do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just OK.”

It was a simple but clear message to AOC and her crew of rebels without a cause.

Upset by both the House speaker putting her staff in their place and complaining to The New York Times about this year’s undisciplined freshman team, Ocasio-Cortez responded by suggesting that Pelosi is a racist.

Responding Thursday to questions about these continuing interactions, the House Speaker said that she’d already said all she needs to say.

“I’ve said what I’m gonna say in the caucus,” she said. “That’s where this is appropriate. They took offense because I addressed my members an offensive tweet that came out of one of the members’ offices that referenced our Blue Dogs and our new Dems as essentially segregationists. Our members took offense to that. I addressed that. How they’ere interpreting that and carrying it to another place is up to them.”

Instead of listening to her, the pro-AOC media doubled down by asking for more clarification. And that’s when Pelosi’s inner demon came out to play.

Watch:

I said what I’m going to say,” she bellowed with obvious anger. “With all due respect, maybe you didn’t hear what I said, I said what I’m going to say on the subject. What I said in the caucus yesterday got an overwhelming response from my members, because they know what the facts are that we were responding to.”

“We respect the value of every member of our caucus. The diversity of it all is a wonderful thing. Diversity is our strength. Unity is our power,” she continued, sounding like a cult member.

“And we have a big fight, and we’re in the arena, and that’s all I’m going to say on the subject. So if you want to waste your question, you can waste your question.

MEOW!

If only what she said was true. But it’s not. The issue is, in reality, far from settled.

Case in point: Justice Democrats, a radically far-left PAC co-founded by Chakrabarti, reportedly sent out an email either Wednesday night or Thursday morning blasting Pelosi for her “out-of-line lashing out at our squad.”

Second, according to The New York Times national political correspondent Jonathan Martin, sometime either Wednesday night or Thursday evening the Blue Dog Coalition sent out a mass email targeting AOC and her chief of staff.

“Let’s not forget the fact that AOC’s CoS called a group of members racist,” they reportedly wrote. “This is a group of members led by an immigrant woman of color, and this group includes several other people of color, including two black men who actually experienced the segregated South.”

However, when asked Thursday morning by CNN senior congressional correspondent Manu Raju about her recent implication that Pelosi is a racist, AOC seemingly backed down.

“Well I think it’s really just pointing out a pattern, right?” she said. We’re not talking just about progressives, it’s singling out four individuals and knowing the media environment we’re operating in — knowing the amount of death threats we get, knowing the amount of concentration of attention, I think it’s worth asking why.”

When asked more specifically whether she believes Pelosi “has raciaul animus or is racist,” she said, “No, no, absolutely not.”

Look:

Still, when you weigh what Pelosi and AOC have said with what’s happening in the background, it’s clear that the catfight is still on and popping like Donkey Kong, baby!
