AOC blocks reporter Liz Wheeler and gets an earful, starting with, ‘Dear Lord,’ and ending in ‘cowardice’

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s embellishment and fake outrage surrounding migrant detention facilities on the southern border has earned her some well-deserved criticism, but when confronted with solid facts, the socialist hides behind Twitter’s “block” feature.

AOC decried President Trump’s “military parade” (it was not) while accusing him of “holding these kids hostage to secure billions for their abusers.”

Enter One America News Network’s Liz Wheeler, who came out swinging, armed to the teeth with facts.

When confronted on her blatant hypocrisy, AOC not only refused to answer for her “NO” vote, but also blocked Wheeler from seeing her tweets.

Wheeler then offered some good advice to the young Congresswoman, despite the fact that it will likely fall on deaf ears.

“Dear Lord,” Wheeler tweets. “Just ignore people who are rude & civilly engage people who challenge your policies. You are a PUBLIC OFFICIAL, . It’s a critical part of our public dialogue & self-govt to hold elected officials accountable.”

She goes on to note that she practices what she preaches, and hasn’t blocked a single person on Twitter.

“I’m also team never-block,” she points out. “I’ve legit never blocked a single person on Twitter. I love engaging with people who disagree with me! Guess isn’t confident enough in her “principles” to do the same. Also you’d have to be a tech illiterate Granny to think blocking somebody prevents them from seeing your tweets. So the only reason to block… is so your ideas aren’t challenged. There’s a fitting word for that: cowardice.”

She even offered a possible explanation for the block, since everyone knows there are a litany of ways to get around it.

It is worth mentioning that in 2018 a federal judge found it to be “unconstitutional” for President Trump to block Twitter users, citing the “public forum” doctrines of the Supreme Court.

“We hold that portions of the @realDonaldTrump account ― the ‘interactive space’ where Twitter users may directly engage with the content of the President’s tweets ― are properly analyzed under the ‘public forum’ doctrines set forth by the Supreme Court,” said U.S. District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald.

But of course, it’s different when people like AOC do it because they have really good reasons to not want to be exposed to their own hypocritical voting history, right?

Wheeler also used this time to promote her book “Tipping Points: How to Topple the Left’s House of Cards.”

That’s how you win.
