The one thing more egregious than the double standard the left applies at will is the hypocrisy from those who assume the moral authority to lecture us on our rhetoric.
And no one sermonizes more than Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., on how Americans are supposed to act, although the democratic socialist doesn’t stop there, as he is quick to call out President Donald Trump for his words and actions.
Not that Sander’s adherence to alleged principles stopped his campaign from using a video clip of a man trying to physically attack Trump to raise money.
The Democratic presidential candidate’s official Instagram account used the video of a man who tried to climb on the stage at a 2016 Trump campaign rally.
“Want to really scare Trump? Help us show the strength of our campaign to defeat him—chip in before our fundraising deadline at midnight at the link in bio,” read the caption.
As part of a 2nd quarter fundraising push, Bernie Sanders has posted this video on his Instagram account

The video captured the scary moment a college student, Thomas DiMassimo, tried to storm the stage at a March 2016 campaign rally in Dayton, Ohio.
Fearing Dimassimo was attempting to assassinate Trump, Secret Service agents can be seen in the video below swarming to protect the candidate as the crowd gasped in horror.
DiMassimo pleaded guilty to entering “a restricted area where a person protected by the Secret Service was temporarily visiting, without lawful authority,” receiving little more than a slap on the wrist in a $250 fine and probation, according to the Washington Examiner.
The college student said a year later, after Trump was elected president, that while his intention wasn’t to hurt him, only to take his mic away, he believed that it was “healthy” for others to think about hurting the president.
The shameful attempt to use the incident to raise money reminds us that the man who opened fire on Republican lawmakers practicing at a baseball field, seriously wounding House Majority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., and five others, to include two Capitol Police officers, was an avid supporter of Sanders and his radical politics.
There were also the notorious “Bernie Bros,” a term that described overzealous Bernie supporters during the 2016 campaign, who fiercely responded to criticism of their guy.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter, where some social media users debated whether the clip was funny.
Woah WTF???

He never formally disavowed the #BernieBroShooter either….. did he?

First Scalise, now this.
Hehe – the playful side of me wonders if it is some subliminal trick he learned while honeymooning with the Soviets ?— JDS (@JDS44894884) July 1, 2019

It’s a form of circling the drain. Bern man and his crew already know this race is between Harris, Biden, and warren.
Bernie didn’t get picked…again.

@BernieSanders this is all we need to know about your character. You are NOT fit to lead our nation, not physically not emotionally. But we should have learned this from the 2016 election when you paid people to disrupt Trump rallies. #bernieandhisbrownshirts

Sanders is an idiot. Anyone who takes him seriously has mental flaws beyond help. In saying that, this is funny to a point.

Using an assassination attempt video, I think Bernie needs to learn a thing or two about humor.

Now this is closer to incitement than anything Trump has ever done.
