Orlando rally opens in prayer: ‘demonic network’ has aligned against Trump, destroy it in Jesus’ name

President Donald Trump officially launched his re-election campaign Tuesday night at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, amid an electric atmosphere that had more to do with the enthusiasm of his supporters than the summer storms outside.

The president’s spiritual adviser, Pastor Paula White, got things off to a proper start with she said a prayer for the “demonic networks” that have aligned against Trump.

“Father you have raised President Trump up for such a time as this,” White said, as she began praying.

“Let every demonic network that has aligned itself against the purpose, against the calling of President Trump, let it be broken, let it be torn down in the name of Jesus,” she continued. “Let the counsel of the wicked by spoiled now according to Job 17. I declare that President Trump will overcome every strategy from hell and every strategy from the enemy. Destroy and divide their tongues, Oh Lord.”

“I secure his calling, I secure his purpose, I secure his family, and we secure victory in the name which is above every name … the name of Jesus Christ,” White said in closing her prayer.

White also gave the convocation at the president’s inauguration in January 2017.

As for the “demonic networks,” while Trump did not reference the phrase he was clear about what he is up against in running for reelection.

“This election is not merely a verdict on the amazing progress we’ve made,” he told the capacity crowd, many of who had been camping outside the facility since Monday. “It’s a verdict on the un-American conduct of those who tried to undermine our great democracy, and undermine you.”

“This election is a verdict on whether we want to live in a country where the people who lose an election refuse to concede and spend the next two years trying to shred our Constitution and rip your country apart,” Trump added.

The president also spoke about the Washington D.C. swamp and being “under siege.”

“Many times I said we would drain the swamp and that’s exactly what we’re doing right now. We’re draining the swamp,” he told the enthusiastic crowd. “And that’s why the swamp is fighting back so viciously and violently. For the last two and a half years we have been under siege.”

Addressing the two-year long investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller, Trump continued to put a face to the forces his presidency is up against.

“And with the Mueller report, we won and now they want a do-over. They want a do-over,” he said. “Let’s do it again. It didn’t work out too well. Let’s do it again. They want a do-over. No president should ever have to go through this again. It is so bad for our great country, a hoax. A great hoax.”

“We went through the greatest witch hunt in political history,” he added. “The only collusion was committed by the Democrats, the fake news media and their operatives and the people who funded the phony dossier, crooked Hillary Clinton and the DNC. It was all an illegal attempt to overturn the results of the election spy on our campaign, which is what they did… and subvert our democracy.”

The crowd began chanting an oldie, but goodie, “Lock her up! Lock her up!”

When talking about the Fake News media, the raucous crowd began chanting, “CNN sucks!”

Somewhat comically, the network was airing the rally at that point, only to cut away after the crowd starting chanting that it sucked — ever the showman, Trump stepped away from the mic to give them the stage.

President Trump then told supporters that they are the real target of these forces.

“They went after my family, my business, my finances, my employees, almost everyone that I’ve ever known or worked with, but they are really going after you,” he said. “That’s what it’s all about, not about us, it’s about you. They tried to erase your vote, erase your legacy of the greatest campaign and the greatest election, probably in the history of our country, and they wanted to deny you the future that you demanded and the future that America deserves, and that now America is getting.”

And if you’re not sure who “they,” the president would further spell it out.

“Our radical Democrat opponents are driven by hatred, prejudice, and rage,” Trump said. “They want to destroy you and they want to destroy our country, as we know it. Not acceptable, it’s not going to happen. It’s not going to happen.”
