President Trump was interviewed on Friday by a reporter from British tabloid The Sun and showed surprise when he was told that Meghan Markle had made some critical remarks about him in 2016. She had said Trump was “misogynistic” and “divisive,” adding that she would move to Canada if he won the election.
He was not told what Markle had said, but the President sidestepped the snare laid by the reporter and replied simply, “I didn’t know that. What can I say? I didn’t know that she was nasty,” according to The Sun.
In the absence of video from the exchange, the anti-Trump liberals were free to say that he called the princess “nasty,” but one can see that he was responding to the “nasty” remark the reporter claims Markle had made. The reporter claimed she made the nasty remark, not Trump. He was just responding that he did not know.
UPDATE: Trump quickly called the reports “fake news.”

Markle has since moved to England after marrying Prince Harry, but apparently, her distaste for President Trump remains, as it was announced that she would not be attending any events during his state visit to the U.K. next week. The official reason is that she is on maternity leave with three-week-old son Archie, however, The Sun reported, “it is thought she and Trump are being kept apart to avoid an embarrassing confrontation.”
The President was quite gracious in his comments about Markle. Regarding the fact that he would not be meeting with the Duchess of Sussex, he said, “I didn’t know that. I hope she is OK.”
He commented that she will make “a very good” American princess. “It is nice, and I am sure she will do excellently. She will be very good. I hope she does (succeed).”
The remarks Markle made during the 2016 campaign were during an interview on the program, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, and a question was asked about a potential Trump election win.
“It’s really the moment I go. We film Suits in Toronto and I might just stay in Canada,” said Markle. “Yes, of course, Trump is divisive, think about female voters alone, right? I think it was in 2012 the Republican Party lost the female vote by 12 points. That is a huge number and with as misogynistic as Trump is, and so vocal about it, that is a huge chunk of it.”
Markle was not just anti-Trump … she was pro-Hillary Clinton. “You’re not just voting for a woman if it’s Hillary. Yes, you’re voting because she’s a woman, but certainly because Trump has made it easy to see that you don’t really want that kind of world that he’s painting.”

The President said that it was his great honor to be hosted for a second time by the 93-year-old Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. He will be given a royal welcome in London on Monday.
First Lady Melania and all four of the President’s grown children with their spouses will be joining him for the trip. He reportedly wants Ivanka, Tiffany, Eric, and Donald Jr. to hold a “next generation” meeting with Princes William and Harry. He said: “I think my children will be meeting them. It would be nice.”
“I am bringing some of the family,” said Trump. “They are going to be there and we will be greatly honored by the trip. It will be great seeing the Queen for the second time. We had a very good talk the first one. We had a lot of interesting things to say. It really was a great visit. My mother also loved the Queen,” he added.
