It appears the late Sen. John McCain’s daughter Meghan McCain has a new enemy.
A day after she posted a tweet demanding that 2020 presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar stop exploiting her father to score political points against President Donald Trump, the one and only George Conway rushed to the rescue like a white knight to defend the senator.
“Sen. Klobuchar was perfectly respectful, and the anecdote she told redounded to the late Senator’s credit. His legacy belongs to the nation he devoted his life to serving,” Conway, who’s both White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband and her boss’s veritable arch-nemesis, tweeted.

It’s unclear whether the late senator would have appreciated Conway lecturing his daughter, let alone the anti-Trump zealot claiming that the senator’s legacy doesn’t belong to his own family.
As of Tuesday morning, McCain had not responded to his tweet. However, her original tweet about Klobuchar still remained active with slightly under 9000 likes but over 13,000 comments. Most of the commenters appeared to be siding with Conway.

Note that some of the tweets were outright hateful. In Conway’s defense, at least his tweet was respectful though arguably insensitive. The same cannot be said of the myriad of tweets he’s posted these past two or so years about the president, a man whom he seems to hate.
Despite knowing full well that his wife works for the president, Conway has made it a habit of pestering Trump over everything, but especially the failed Russian collusion probe.
After the president tweeted last week that his approval ratings would likely be higher had it not been for the Russia probe, Conway angrily fired back by accusing him of being the “most unfit and incompetent president in American history”:

His wife suspects he may be jealous of the president.
“I feel there’s a part of him that thinks I chose Donald Trump over him, which is ridiculous. One is my work and one is my marriage,” she said in an interview last year.
The president’s 2020 campaign manager, Brad Parscale, thinks the issue runs deeper than that. In a tweet posted two months ago, he theorized that Conway’s jealous of his own wife, who was hired for a job within the Trump administration, whereas he was not:
“We all know that @realDonaldTrump turned down Mr. Kellyanne Conway for a job he desperately wanted,” he wrote. “He barely worked @TheJusticeDept and was either fired/quit, didn’t want the scrutiny? Now he hurts his wife because he is jealous of her success. POTUS doesn’t even know him!”

When questioned at the time about the growing feud between her boss and her husband, Kellyanne chose to side with her boss, telling Fox Business Network host Maria Bartiromo in no uncertain terms that her husband had brought the criticism onto himself.
“My husband also has been very critical of the president publicly, which is unlike him,” she said. “He’s traditionally been a very private person. In 2016, which was known as the year of the tweet, George Conway sent exactly zero tweets. So this is new. And what also is new is not supporting the agenda of the president and my work there.”
In other words, if you don’t want any crap, then don’t talk crap.
