It’s becoming clear that Democrats don’t bother listening to themselves when they speak. Or tweet.
President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he has granted Attorney General William Barr “full and complete authority to declassify information” related to the beginnings of the federal probe into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
The president’s goal being to “ensure that all Americans learn the truth about the events that occurred,” and “restore confidence in our public institutions,” according to White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.
All the while, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her Democratic Party cohorts claim Trump is engaged in a “cover-up,” even as the president moves to release more information.
Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, one of the five Democrat-led House committees currently “investigating” Trump, bemoaned the decision to release more information while charging the president is stonewalling the public.
Seriously.
He tweeted: “While Trump stonewalls the public from learning the truth about his obstruction of justice, Trump and Barr conspire to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies. The coverup has entered a new and dangerous phase. This is un-American.”

So releasing more information, aka transparency, is “un-American?”
Democrats have become so obsessed with resisting Trump that they cannot see how unhinged they appear to be to the American public. Or comical.
(Having the Trump-hating media reinforce their behavior doesn’t help their cause.)
Of course, their selective outrage may prove to be a protective measure, with Trump pledging to “investigate the investigators,” all which may very well come back to rest at their doorstep.
At the center of it all are the FISA warrants against former Trump campaign aide Carter Page and the FBI’s use of British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s salacious dossier containing unverified claims about Trump — a dossier funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign. This resulted in “spying” on the president’s campaign, as Trump alleged, which took place under President Obama’s watch.
Bryan Dean Wright summed it all up well: “The party that accuses Trump of a cover-up is now outraged that he might declassify documents that show an actual cover-up. The Dem hysteria continues.”

Some on social media are suggesting that Schiff may have “something to hide” here.
Is it just me, or does it sound like @RepAdamSchiff has something to hide?

One thing is certain, with reactions like this, it’s reaching a point where rational folks have to be asking themselves how on earth do they take the Democrat Party seriously?
Schiff, a fierce critic of Trump, was eviscerated on social media for his tweet that even a casual observer would admit was contradictory.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
Ladies and gentlemen, this is what we call leftist projection. https://t.co/s51KX3ES10

Yesterday classification was a cover-up. Today declassification is a cover-up. https://t.co/9iRondIV9w

Adam Schiff with most unintentionally funny reaction to Trump-Barr declassification order. From WP: 'Trump and Barr, Schiff said…are conspiring to 'weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies.'' Imagine that. https://t.co/ZPvRoON0Rh

I'm not a dictionary, but I don't think releasing more information fits the definition of a cover up. https://t.co/MyBGwk3Wnv

Weaponizing law enforcement against political enemies! Schiff is shocked—shocked—to discover that anyone would even contemplate such a thing. What a hypocritical piece of schiff! https://t.co/jCLRDfTtSv

It's un-American to produce government documents that reflect poorly on my political allies, and are likely to show that the conspiracy nonsense on which I've staked my career was a complete fraud. I'm Adam Schiff, and I approve this message https://t.co/W5g8fR4ONd
