Hillary Clinton slams Donald Trump’s Nancy Pelosi criticisms as ‘sexist trash’ and claims he’s ‘running scared’

President Donald Trump and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have been engaged in a bitter feud for the past week, and Trump’s former rival Hillary Clinton is predictably taking Pelosi’s side.

Not only is Clinton taking Pelosi’s side, but she’s also claiming Trump’s attacks are “sexist trash.” Clinton also helped to spread fake news about the president by saying he spread a “doctored” video of Pelosi.

“The president and his cronies have been running around spreading a doctored video of Nancy Pelosi,” Clinton said at a Friday speech for the Harris County Democratic Party in Texas. “Now, it is sexist trash. But, it is also a sign that Trump is running scared.”

The video referred to by Clinton was originally shared by Fox Business host Lou Dobbs and later shared by the president. Clinton and other leftists have tried to claim the video is “doctored,” but it is actually a montage video of Pelosi stammering through speeches. There are plenty of montage videos of Trump making gaffes in speeches, but Clinton never called those out as “doctored” — of course.

A spokesperson for Lou Dobbs defended the clip after it gained some controversy online.

“The FOX Business segment featuring clips from Speaker Pelosi’s speech today did not slow down any aspect of her address,” the spokesperson said in a public statement.

Rudy Giuliani, one of the president’s personal lawyers, also shared the video and later tweeted, “Nancy Pelosi wants an apology for a caricature exaggerating her already halting speech pattern. First she should withdraw her charge which hurts our entire nation when she says the President needs an ‘intervention.’ People who live in a glass house shouldn’t throw stones.”

The video comes after Trump and Pelosi had a standstill infrastructure meeting at White House. Trump walked out of the meeting after only a few minutes and later told press that he refused to work with Democrats if they continued their “phony investigations” into him, his administration and his former presidential campaign.

Pelosi said Trump was “disrespectful” during the meeting and said she would “pray” for him and the United States.

Trump followed up by having witnesses at the meeting like Sarah Sanders and Kellyanne Conway tell reporters that he was “very calm” in his meeting with Pelosi and other Democrats. He also called the congresswoman a “mess.”

Clinton trying to insert herself into relevant news is always a bit cringeworthy, but this new accusation is especially offensive from her. Not only is she spreading fake news by saying a montage video is “doctored,” but she is also accusing the president of being “sexist” with almost nothing to back it up. The president has said nothing about Pelosi related to her gender. He has criticized her as a politician, which many would argue she deserves.

Clinton and other Democrats have not gotten the memo yet: constantly accusing your critics of racism and sexism does not win over supporters. If anything, it earns groans. Enough of this nonsense. It’s time to have adult conversations.
