Every single, Democrat in the U.S. House voted Friday to pass the so-called “Equality Act,” which would force schools to allow males who identify as transgender females to participate in girls sports. In fact, eight Republicans joined the rush to insanity bringing the House vote to 236-173 in favor.

The bill amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964, protecting “sexual orientation and gender identity” under federal anti-discrimination law.

“Every House Democrat but one co-sponsored the legislation. The only Democrat who wasn’t a co-sponsor, Illinois Rep. Dan Lipinski, announced his support for the bill following pressure from left-wing activists,” according to the Daily Caller.

The eight Republicans who have clearly lost their bearings are Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Susan W. Brooks of Indiana; Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida; Will Hurd of Texas; John Katko, Tom Reed, and Elise Stefanik of New York; and Greg Walden of Oregon.

“People need to wake up,” wrote Republican Arizona Rep. Debbie Lesko in a Thursday op-ed in The Daily Signal. “This radical bill is going to totally eliminate women’s and girls sports because what this bill does is it requires schools and universities allow biological males to compete in women’s sports.”

“It requires organizations such as schools, churches, university dormitories, or nonprofit organizations to allow biological males in traditionally women’s spaces like women’s bathrooms, women’s locker rooms, women’s showers—even without any type of medical diagnosis or psychological diagnosis,” Lesko continued. “This really infringes on the rights of women and girls to have their privacy and to have safety.”

Former elite female athletes Doriane Coleman, Martina Navratilova, and Sanya Richards-Ross warned in an April Washington Post op-ed that the Equality Act would essentially destroy women’s sports. They wrote: “The legislation would make it unlawful to differentiate among girls and women in sports on the basis of sex for any purpose. For example, a sports team couldn’t treat a transgender woman differently from a woman who is not transgender on the grounds that the former is male-bodied. Yet the reality is that putting male- and female-bodied athletes together is co-ed or open sport. And in open sport, females lose.”

Logic and biology be damned, the radical left has obviously decided … blurring all lines between the genders is the way of the future, and apparently, another great way to hasten the destruction of civilization. The social media gods are on board with the plan.

On Thursday, Twitter locked Heritage Foundation Media Director Greg Scott out of his account over a tweet he wrote criticizing men who identify as women and compete in women’s sports.

The Daily Caller reported that Scott was notified his tweet noting the biological differences between the sexes violated Twitter rules against “hateful conduct,” and his account had been suspended. The tweet resulting in Scott’s suspension referred to a biological male athlete who was banned from competing in a women’s power-lifting competition. The tweet reads: “He is not ‘stuck on the sidelines. The whole ‘I was astonished’ act is tired and dishonest. If any competitive sport highlights the differences [between] men & women that EVERYONE KNOWS ARE REAL, it is powerlifting.”

Until he deletes the tweet, Scott is unable to access his account. “What they force you to do in order to be able to be back on the platform is they essentially, like a fundamentalist religious cult, force you to confess, repent and promise to Jack (Twitter founder) that you will be a good Twittizen in the future,” Scott told The Daily Caller.

Scott’s suspension came days after Ph.D. psychologist and adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Ray Blanchard, who researches gender identities and sexual orientation, was suspended over a tweet outlining his position on transgender people. He called transgenderism a “mental disorder” — a statement backed up by the American Psychiatric Association. Eventually, Twitter apologized and reinstated Blanchard’s account, saying they had made a mistake.
