“There’s plenty of money in this world, it’s just in the wrong hands.” That’s the message Mayor Bill de Blasio used this morning to announce his 2020 candidacy for President … pretty much as socialist as it gets.
Bill de Blasio makes it official: he’s running for president in 2020. Will be on Good Morning America later this a.m. too w/his wife. https://t.co/35movFbwFw

It seems he will meet the threshold to be among the radical left’s herd on the debate stages …
Also of note: De Blasio received 1% support in a third poll today (Reuters/Ispos), meaning he is the 20th candidate to reach the threshold set by the DNC for the first two primary debates. https://t.co/o3ebsyfwSg

Still, New Yorkers, by a four-to-one margin say he should not run for President … presumably, because he has done nothing worthwhile in his present job …
Ahead of DeBlasio @GMA appearance, this recent poll —
“De Blasio should not run for president, New York City voters say 76 – 18 percent. Every listed party, gender, racial, borough and age group agrees that the mayor should not hit the campaign trail.” https://t.co/9u4ijtUnTI

Disastrous de Blasio, mayor of New York City, has been trying to get some attention for his potential candidacy for some time. As an example, earlier this week, he held a chaotically hilarious news conference in Trump Tower during which the President’s supporters heckled de Blasio.
This week, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. have blistered de Blasio in punishing tweets for the mayor’s attacks on the Trump family and its organization.
Most recent was Donald Jr.’s haymaker over his presidential aspirations that is sure to leave a mark …
Rather than do a PR stunt “run” for President (we all know it’s going nowhere) maybe @NYCMayor should clean up his backyard first. This video from this morning should tell you all you need to know about his “leadership.” What a clown show!!! pic.twitter.com/E9kTUQXfTR
— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) May 15, 2019
The tweet included video that Jr. said was recorded Wednesday morning that showed garbage and debris along a park sidewalk in the city. He wrote: “Rather than do a PR stunt ‘run’ for President (we all know it’s going nowhere) maybe @NYCMayor should clean up his backyard first. This video from this morning should tell you all you need to know about his ‘leadership.’ What a clown show!!!”
The firestorm began during Monday’s impromptu press conference when de Blasio showed up in the lobby of the Trump Tower and threatened huge fines against the Trump family’s buildings under Green New Deal rules to take effect in 2030 if their emissions are not reduced. He also accused the Trump organization of “evading taxes and stiffing workers for decades.”
The climax of a series of subsequent tweets between Eric Trump and de Blasio came when Eric wrote …
Spare me? First you have never created a job in your life. Second, our great city has gone to shit under your leadership. Crime is up, the men & women of the NYPD detest you, homelessness is rampant, our streets are dirty and people are leaving our city in record numbers. https://t.co/3Fn1glQJEa

Boom.
During that mess in the Trump Tower lobby on Monday, de Blasio said was there to warn the President that Trump Organization buildings could face a combined $2.1 million in annual fines by 2030. “President Trump, you’re on notice. Your polluting buildings are part of the problem,” he charged.
But lo’ and behold, the mayor’s rally did turn out to be worth at least the price of admission when he was largely drowned-out by Trump supporters who yelled, booed, and whistled behind de Blasio on the building’s escalators and who held up signs saying such things as “failed mayor” and “worst mayor ever.”
Watch for yourself …

Plenty of others are getting their shots in on de Blasio …
I am hearing that Black Lives Matter is planning to protest Bill De Blasio’s (@NYCMayor’s) appearance on @GMA this morning.
How bad of a mayor must you be to have united the NYPD and Black Lives Matter against your candidacy?
Your city hates you, Bill.

I think @DonaldJTrumpJr should have noted that deBlasio will plagarize a campaign slogan MAGA: “Make America Garbage Also” https://t.co/wOetI3TID4

Bill de Blasio has to be some kind of masochist because he’s going to get absolutely brutalized every single day by the NYC press. While he’s running around Iowa, NYC officials will bash him nonstop. Get ready for constant passive-aggressive jabs from Cuomo too. What a shit-show!

Imagine being mayor of a city where 73% of the people who live there say they don’t think you should run for President and you say “fuck it. I’m running anyway.”
I just don’t know what makes Bill de Blasio think this is a good idea. pic.twitter.com/oR4b8nH0Fb
