Have we seen the last of James Woods on Twitter? Actor issues ominous statement on his suspension

Is it possible that we’ve seen the last of Hollywood actor James Woods on Twitter?

The outspoken conservative actor has more than 2 million followers and has emerged as an important voice on the right in calling attention to important issues, but for the second time, Woods has found himself suspended by the social media platform over what proves to be innocuous tweets.

Even President Donald Trump has taken note of the suspension:

Woods has grown weary of the censorship and is doing what might be expected from a leader, he’s taking a stand for free speech, as seen in a statement tweeted by The Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra:

“Twitter demanded that I rescind my tweet paraphrasing Emerson. It now seems they have chosen to delete that tweet from my account without my permission. Until free speech is allowed on Twitter, I will not be permitted to participate in our democracy with my voice.

“As long as Jack Dorsey remains the coward he seems to be, my Twitter days are in the past.”

The offending tweet was in reference to the Mueller Report, which cleared President Trump on charges of collusion with Russia.

The tweet, which borrowed from Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote, “When you strike at a king, you must kill him,” can be seen below, along with the email Woods received — Sara Miller is the actor’s girlfriend.

Screenshot of Wood’s full tweet below:

Woods called out Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who floats above the controversy, with little sense of responsibility to explain the social media platform’s decision making to the public.

Even when it involves high profile individuals like Woods, or conservative activist David Horowitz, who saw his Twitter account suspended earlier this week, only to be reinstated hours later.

The explanation, according to Horowitz, was that is was a “mistake.”

Horowitz did not buy the excuse, saying in another tweet, “I don’t believe it was a glitch.”

Much like Woods did, his camp put the onus on Dorsey, as seen from the Horowitz Freedom Center account.

These “mistakes” are becoming all too common, but never seem to happen to the left-of-center personalities.

A popular parody account that ridicules the Bronx socialist, Rep. Alexander Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., was shut down this week as well. The creator of the account, Michael Morrison, also saw his account suspended.

As noted below, the account was clearly marked as a parody — it was also growing in popularity at an impressive rate.

“In the past month and a half alone, the account grew by roughly 50,000 followers. We’ve had tweets with over 30,000 likes on them, so I think Twitter decided it was time for [the account] to go,” Morrison told Human Events.

Yet, amid all of this, accounts like that of state Rep. Brian Sims, D-Penn., the alleged “lawmaker” who uses social media as a platform to offer to pay followers to dox three teenage girls is permitted to operate his campaign of hate uninterrupted.

Even more remarkable, the terrorist organization Hamas has an active account on Twitter, as Donald Trump Jr. pointed out:

The president’s eldest son took note of the apparent double standards in another tweet that drew a response from Horowitz, who is a supporter of President Trump.

As seen below, Horowitz replied to speak of the potential for “the biggest blacklist in the history of our country.”

With the 2020 presidential election now coming into focus, the social media giants appear to be actively positioning themselves for the long haul — seemingly intent on ensuring that they play no role in Trump being reelected.

Just this week, Facebook banned controversial conservatives Milo Yiannopoulos, Laura Loomer, Alex Jones, and Paul Joseph Watson — the move apparently being for promoting or engaging in violence or hate, according to Fox News.

And while Louis Farrakhan was included in the purge, those who set the political narrative in the country — the New York Times and Washington Post among them — have suddenly declared the Jew hater a “far-right leader.”

(For the record, after being thoroughly ridiculed for the ridiculous suggestion, The Post issued a retraction of sorts.)
