Pelosi demands Trump take down video exposing Omar’s 9/11 insult, orders security assessment

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., downplays the influence the radical freshman class of Democrats are having on her caucus, but when these hard-left progressives speak, she responds.

Following a fierce outcry on the left over a video shared by President Donald Trump that opens with Rep. Ilhan Omar’s insulting dismissal of events on 9/11, followed by scenes from that fateful day, with Trump adding the caption, in all caps, “We will never forget,” Pelosi has issued a statement calling on the president to take down the video.

The statement read:

“Following the President’s tweet, I spoke with the Sergeant-at-Arms to ensure that Capitol Police are conducting a security assessment to safeguard Congresswoman Omar, her family and her staff. They will continue to monitor and address the threats she faces.”

“The President’s words weigh a ton, and his hateful and inflammatory rhetoric creates real danger. President Trump must take down his disrespectful and dangerous video.”

Just as her progressive allies came to Omar’s defense after she was embroiled in the controversy over anti-Semitic remarks, so too have this ilk been working overtime to paint the Somali refugee as the victim for dismissing the terrorist attack on the U.S. by Islamic extremists as “some people did something.”

“Something” which resulted in the loss of nearly 3,000 lives.

Leading that effort was Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., who joined Omar as the first two Muslim women to be elected to Congress — Tlaib marked the occasion by calling the president of the United States a “motherf–ker” her first week in office.

Tlaib responded to the latest dumpster fire by citing death threats against Omar and attacking party leadership Saturday for not being more supportive of her and a little over 24 hours after she barked, Pelosi jumped.

That this party takes to embracing illegal immigrants over U.S. citizens and backing the play of those who dismiss the single deadliest terrorist attack in human history is a marvel to behold — but for a complicit media, logic suggests that the Democratic Party would soon be in the dustbin of American history.

Not only did Omar insult the memory of the 9/11 attack, she mocked Americans in another video for being apprehensive about al Qaeda, the perpetrators of that attack.

The New York Post went so far as to remind the Muslim congresswoman of just what the “something” she so callously mentioned was:

As for the video shared by Trump, it has now been viewed well over 10 million times – it can be seen below:

The fact that Pelosi is suddenly calling for it to be taken down after three days and so much exposure equates to crying over spilled milk, to closing the barn door after the horse is out.

It cheapens her statement to little more than a political ploy, designed to appease a radical class of freshman, led by democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who appear to gain more and more of a foothold in controlling the Democratic Party.

And Nancy Pelosi’s fate as the speaker.

But then, as the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., has suggested, perhaps her fate has already been sealed.

According to the reaction online, the media may be easily led, but the American people are a whole different matter.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to Pelosi from Twitter:
